Chateau Scientology

Mike Davis’s City of Quartz (1990) and Erik Davis’s Techgnosis (1998) both evoked how Los Angeles architecture and Scientology have coevolved. Now, The New Yorker‘s Dana Goodyear investigates how Scientology’s Celebrity Center is a ‘proxemic’ environment — Edward T. Hall’s term for a controlled space — to influence Los Angeles’ entertainment economy via its stars’ alchemy.

Wow. Calling Dana Goodyear's fluff piece about Scientology an “investigation” is pretty bold, not to mention riduculous. Goodyear must be pretty friendly with Scientology to be invited into the celebrity center and write another fluff piece about Neil Gaiman with all softball questions. Gaiman denies being a member of Scientology, despite the fact that he funds Scientology and has been named a Patron of Scientology and a founding Patron of Scientology, having donated more than $100,000.00 to the cult. But Goodyear never broaches this subject. Neil Gaiman then goes on to defend Scientology, claiming the cult that has driven people over and over to despair and suicide is being “persecuted.” (Gaiman's words…) Neil Gaiman is a Scientologist and so is Will Smith, hiding their status in the cult while reaping the benefits.

Actually, Dana Goodyear might find it interesting that Neil Gaiman just donated another $500,000.00 to Scientology in 2010 through his business partner Mary Gaiman who received a “Gold Humanitarian Award” for contributing to Ideal Org, MN.
Neil Gaiman and Mary Gaiman are business partners in The Blank Corporation and are funneling millions of dollars into Scientology.
The Gaiman family also derive a 6 million dollar income annually from G&G vitamins founded by the now deceased David Gaiman. G&G Vitamins has a monopoly to sell the purification rundown worldwide.

    Gaiman is a Scientologist.

Here is a list posted of Scientology's Cornerstone Newsletter (circa November 2009)

$142 million plus given to Super Power Scam – Ex Scientologist Message Board

    CORNERSTONE CLUB MEMBERS [1315] [$35,000.00]

    You'll find

    Mary & Neil Gaiman

    And asthe ex Scientologist states…

    Quote:
Also, this list does not include donations made by people
who have since left the Church and been declared SP’s
or “ethics bait”. The Church deletes those people’s names
    from the lists.

This probably reflects the $30,000.00 Neil Gaiman gave to the cult, and an additional $5000.00 to bring him up to Cornerstone Club member. Neil Gaiman is a Scientologist in good standing.
