Al Gore’s “Global Warming” Scam Slammed By Congress

From the ILoveCarbonDioxide.com site, which says:

the purpose of this site is to enlighten as many people as possible on climate issues and correct a common misconception held by a large percentage of the population: the myth that Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is a pollutant. The truth of the matter is there is no justification for demonizing CO2. It is certainly not a pollutant.

$21,300 in funding from the oil industry has nothing to do with Mr Scalise's statements– just keep buying oil!

Exxon was caught funding a huge disinformation campaign about global warming. Read the Union of Concerned Scientists report:

Ian Dunlop gave this presentation to the The Sydney Institute. Given that the audience was made up largely of climate change sceptics he did a fantastic job. Here are the presentation slides and transcript of his presentation.

Real-world visual evidence has a unique ability to convey the reality and immediacy of global warming to a worldwide audience. The Extreme Ice Survey provides scientists with basic and vitally important information on the mechanics of glacial melting and educates the public with firsthand evidence of how rapidly the Earth's climate is changing. EIS is a voice for landscapes that would have no voice unless we humans give them one.

    Richard Heinberg: Fifty Million Farmers
“Will you be eating after the economy collapses?”

“Suffice it to say that the era of cheap oil and natural gas is coming to a crashing end, with global oil production projected to peak in 2010 and North American natural gas extraction rates already in decline. These events will have enormous implications for America's petroleum-dependent food system. “

Illusions on the edge of a precipice
    DAVID SPRATT
The climate crisis is not a negotiable issue and politicians must start paying attention to science.

    http://www.theage.com.au/opinion/politics/illus

CAN we expect decent climate policy when most of the decision-making elite are ignorant of the real scientific imperatives, or believe they can negotiate with the laws of physics and chemistry? The answer is bleak, judging by the lead-up talks to the climate summit in Copenhagen in December. The conference is slated to sign a new global deal on greenhouse gas reductions, but key players expect failure. British climate economist Lord Nicholas Stern and former UN secretary-general Kofi Annan are among luminaries now saying that no deal is better than a bad deal, while European Commission president Jose Manuel Barroso warns: ''If we don't sort this out, it risks becoming the longest and most global suicide note in history.''

A Reality Check From the Brink of Extinction
    http://www.commondreams.org/view/2009/10/19

“The oil and natural gas industry, the coal industry, arms and weapons manufacturers, industrial farms, deforestation industries, the automotive industry and chemical plants will not willingly accept their own extinction. They are indifferent to the looming human catastrophe. We will not significantly reduce carbon emissions by drying our laundry in the backyard and naively trusting the power elite. The corporations will continue to cannibalize the planet for the sake of money. They must be halted by organized and militant forms of resistance. The crisis of global heating is a social problem. It requires a social response.”

The Age of Stupid is the new four-year epic from McLibel director Franny Armstrong. Oscar-nominated Pete Postlethwaite stars as a man living alone in the devastated world of 2055, looking at old footage from 2008 and asking: why didn't we stop climate change when we had the chance?

Global warming is happening. It is beneficial to the human race. There is nothing significant that we can do about it. Fossil fuels are not the problem but we can impoverish ourselves trying to eliminate them. Rest your fears and check “Environmental effects of increased atmospheric carbon dioxide” found on Google.

This clip does nothing to discredit Al Gore. Even the biggest implied contention, that Gore is invested in GS, is not true by any stretch of the imagination. Partnering a GS executive to form a separate organization does not constitute investment, or even involvement, in GS.

And CO2 has been recognized as a greenhouse gas since the Nineteenth Century. Catch up, fellas.
