    Read the small print, the “percent of people” is from a National Institute on Drug abuse supported study published in 1994 that used 8098 participants. How they would measure something like dependency seems rather dubious. In any case this is way out of date since the study had to take place well before 1994 in order to be published that year.

    What I want to know is why marijuana used to be calming and relaxing for me but now causes me to feel anxious and sometimes even paranoid? Totally sucks :(

      There are so many different types of bud. Try a different strain! Do some research, every smoke is different!!

        True… happened to me, got a new batch and back to the good ol days..,.

          I've tried everything, from schwag to stuff that supposedly won Cannabis Cup and everything in between. I find that vaporizing helps a little, though eating it is the absolute worst…I had a one bite of a brownie and it nearly gave me a panic attack. It never used to be this way and I have all but given up smoking as a result :(

            could be that your smoking and having to hide it, or there are ramifications. That’s a psychological reason why fear would come out. try meditating while high, become calm realize the problems going on and finally feel high.

      My guess is your current bud isn't as strong, so you are feeling some withdrawal effects. If you feel that way if you don't smoke, then that is totally the case. You can either cut back a bit so you don't feel it as strong (and suffer some withdrawal as you do so), or get something stronger.
