From The Huffington Post:

Amanda Simpson, who was named by President Obama to be senior technical adviser for the Commerce Department’s Bureau of Industry and Security, has worked in the field for over 30 years. It seems to me that for once, Obama is doing the right thing, choosing this women to be on his staff, and ignoring the gay bashing fanatic, who obviously have a problem with a trans-gender person in a position of power. If anyone has an agenda it's Peter LaBarbera, and his belief that anyone gay/bi/les/trans-gender are not fit to hold a position in office. Everyone is entitled to the freedom and right given to us in our constitution. Maybe he should try reading it sometime

Apparently the three degrees and 30 years of experience weren't enough to overcome the prejudice of James Dobson. Thank God the President actually hires based upon whether you're QUALIFIED or not.

Personally, I much prefer that to say… BushCo hiring someone to run the entire Iraqi economy who's only previous job was working in an ice cream truck (seriously), just because the dude belongs to the “right” ideology.

    But I'm funny like that.
