Nick P. at Black Sun Gazette:

Special thanks to Bulldogger for showing me the way to the rabbit hole.

Many readers of Black Sun Gazette are doubtless familiar with Alex Jones, the Austin, TX-based radio show host and film maker. I have long struggled with what to make of Alex Jones. On the one hand, he provides people with difficult to find information about the frightening truth of the American government’s lurch toward police state and global empire. On the other, he is a frothing at the mouth crypto-fascist who seems to do little more than lead people down blind alleys and arguably does more to terrorize people into inaction than anything to spur resistance. Recently, however, information has been brought to my attention that is worth sharing with my reading public. This article is meant to be primarily speculative, though I think that the issues that I raise bear consideration.

Alex jones is a great source of hidden information and knows enough to defend his claims with strong evidence. Something about this man puzzles me odd stuff I have read about the Jesuits funding all of the new world order and Alex jones has ties some how to the Jesuits I can be wrong or confused about what I read just kinda makes me half pay attention to him. In this day and age who really do we trust

he's a republican Embassy to the fringe,
listen to it enough you hear him throwing out modified versions of right wing ideology.

Pretty much, I have yet to see anyone worth a damn advocate the buying and selling of gold. While I do agree with some of the things that the man talks about, he makes it very hard to take him seriously the way he presents himself. I have always been more of a Chomsky guy myself, at least he isn't always freaking out and yelling at his listeners all the time, trying to convince them that whatever he is talking about at the time is “urgent” and we are all going to die tomorrow if we don't all buy guns and alienate ourselves from everyone. Only true unity among all peoples from all walks of life is the real solution to all of life's problems.

I find it a bit odd that Disinfo distributed 2 Alex Jones films right up until he produced The Obama Deception film. It seems to be Disinfo is perfectly happy to carry the anti-neocon message of Alex Jones, but the anti-neolib message of Alex Jones challenges Disinfo's core audience a bit too much. The contents of this article claim Alex is Cointelpro because he appears regularly on Russia Today television. Guess who else appears regularly on Russia Today? Noam Chomsky, Naomi Klein, Naomi Wolf, and most recently the son of Howard Zinn to celebrates his fathers life. I expect better from Disinfo!

Distributed 2 of how many? I doubt Alex is much of a money maker these days and those two poorly produced films are now out of date or can be seen online in a million different places. The point is Alex Jones is a far right nutter and Disinfo only looks better the further they get from him.

Alex Jones has produced many films, and Disinfo obviously took notice of how wide of an audience he was reaching, would you not agree with that? The real point is, the left is just as (if not more so) corporate controlled as the right is. This article is a smear piece, with zero facts contained within it. Zero. This is the kind of yellow journalism I expect to see at World Net Daily or Huffington Post – not Disinfo.

Agree with your opinion of the Left/Right perception. Interestingly, both far left and far right people have completely embraced his conclusions. That combined with his tactics (bullying, provocateur) and his mostly twisted conclusions based on credibly reported stories, From my perspective, hes a COINTELPRO agent.

an even half-heartedly discerning look at the “information” alex jones spits out of his rhetoric factory will show how shaky the foundation of his romanticized worldview is. his ad hominem attacks on his perceived enemies, the lack and discouragement of honest discourse, and, i believe most egregiously, the obvious substitution of fact for baseless hyperbole do nothing to forward the cause of healthy skepticism against those in power. he is a classic example of confirmation bias in action who has precariously painted himself into a corner that he can never get himself out of. whether he realizes it or not, he is involved in classic demagoguery on the deepest levels. his allegiances mean little so long as they can prove, in some deluded way, that even an inkling of his paranoia or bloated self-importance is true, which paves the way for him to give air-time to an insultingly stupid parade of bigots, quacks, washed-up celebrities, conspiracy buffoons, religious extremists, etc. listening to alex jones to discover the truth about world politics is akin to using a dowsing rod to find water.

He is a disinformation agent! He seems like he’s leading the oppisition (the rebellion) but really he is just trying to enforce in our minds how hard it is to fight against the collective! He is affirming justification of submission to established authority. If u want to lead a movement you must impute the ability to strengthen your followers NOT emphasize and fabricate how strong the enemy is.
