The man is an inspiration! A no-holds-barred account of the Catholic Church, what can I say? I take my hat off to you Mr Fry. Well done.

I don't think I've ever heard a more eloquent and truthful speech than that one. I didn't hear anything that could be argued, he balanced his views with undeniable facts with amazing ease. Stephen Fry is my new messiah….He he..
    Endless applause to Stephen Fry!

I cannot imagine the beauty of the world where the Catholic Church took his final suggestion to release all the wealth and treasure they had plundered over the eons and simply focused on fulfilling Christ's apparent wishes to uplift the least of us. It seems almost too beautiful for words, and so bittersweet that they are too corrupt to ever consider it.

I consider myself Christian, but the Catholics believe/act out some sacrilegious stuff. I liked this video.

the Man is obviously an illuminati robot! wonder what all those hypnotised idots are happy about!

Gee Julia that one liner you just gave us sure presents a compelling argument. It's got it all: robots, illuminati, hypnotism and 'idots'. I sure hope Mr Fry doesn't read your razor sharp retort. His well constructed articulate 20 minute oratory sure pales compared to your idot robot comment.

I think he did a lovely job of explaining why many have serious misgivings about the Church, while still being respectful towards people of faith who do not mimic the worst behaviors of the hierarchy.

In these things, I think one must distinguish between religion, and faith.

One is the realm of dogma, power elites, suppression, etc. The other is simple human wondering as to where we came from, and where we're going.

When someone guide them to the wrong path, they quickly support it but when they are guided to the true path they hurriedly run away from it. That whats most of you follow blindly. The wrong path

Catholics are nuts, seriously folks….I went to Catholic high school. I remember when the Bishop came, all the faculty and students fawning over him, the robes, etc. the guy lapped it up, acted so entitled, kind of Mussoliniesque vibe, I thought to myself, and still do, that its no wonder fascism started in Italy.
