Bill Hicks: “I think the puppet on the right shares my beliefs.” “I think the puppet on the left is more to my liking.” “Hey, wait a minute, there's one guy holding out both puppets!” “Shut up! Go back to bed, America. Your government is in control. Here's Love Connection (American Idol). Watch this and get fat and stupid. By the way, keep drinking beer, you fucking morons.”

Lewis Black: “But our two party system is basically a bowl of shit looking at itself. Why would I be excited that a Democrat won? Seriously, over the past eight years the Democrats didn't do SHIT! Basically, the last eight years, I feel, the Republicans stood around farting; and the Democrats went “Ooh, let me smell it.”

George Carlin:”I'm talking about the real owners now… the real owners. The big wealthy business interests that control things and make all the important decisions. Forget the politicians. The politicians are put there to give you the idea that you have freedom of choice. You don’t. You have no choice. You have owners. They own you. They own everything. They own all the important land. They own and control the corporations. They’ve long since bought and paid for the Senate, the Congress, the state houses, the city halls. They got the judges in their back pockets and they own all the big media companies, so they control just about all of the news and information you get to hear. They got you by the balls. They spend billions of dollars every year lobbying. Lobbying to get what they want. Well, we know what they want. They want more for themselves and less for everybody else, but I’ll tell you what they don’t want. They don’t want a population of citizens capable of critical thinking. They don’t want well-informed, well-educated people capable of critical thinking. They’re not interested in that. That doesn’t help them. That’s against their interests. That’s right. They don’t want people who are smart enough to sit around a kitchen table and think about how badly they’re getting fucked by a system that threw them overboard 30 fuckin’ years ago. They don’t want that. You know what they want? They want obedient workers. Obedient workers, people who are just smart enough to run the machines and do the paperwork. And just dumb enough to passively accept all these increasingly shittier jobs with the lower pay, the longer hours, the reduced benefits, the end of overtime and vanishing pension that disappears the minute you go to collect it. And now they’re coming for your Social Security money. They want your fuckin' retirement money. They want it back so they can give it to their criminal friends on Wall Street. And you know something? They’ll get it. They’ll get it all from you sooner or later 'cause they own this fuckin' place. It’s a big club and you ain't in it. You and I are not in the big club. By the way, it’s the same big club they use to beat you over the head with all day long when they tell you what to believe. All day long beating you over the head with their media telling you what to believe, what to think and what to buy. The table has tilted, folks. The game is rigged and nobody seems to notice. Nobody seems to care. Good, honest, hard-working people: white collar, blue collar, it doesn’t matter what color shirt you have on. Good, honest, hard-working people continue — these are people of modest means — continue to elect these rich cocksuckers who don’t give a fuck about them. They don’t give a fuck about you. They don’t give a fuck about you. They don’t care about you at all! At all! At all! And nobody seems to notice. Nobody seems to care. That’s what the owners count on. The fact that Americans will probably remain willfully ignorant of the big red, white and blue dick that’s being jammed up their assholes every day, because the owners of this country know the truth. It’s called the American Dream, 'cause you have to be asleep to believe it. “

The Big Red, White and Blue Dick thats being jammed up their asses everyday- LOL!

Wow, were a Nation of 'tards.

Wow, what a rant, although I agree.
At the end, it is we're, not were.
I guess you we're (haha) caught up in the moment.

  • georgegallo

What is the point about Larry King and Jessie Ventura NOT talking about his (Ventura's) TV show.
A big 'SO WHAT' to you. Your time would be better spent reading Ventura's book or doing your own research on the issues he talks about.
Keep on muddling the search for truth.

    • Sanger

Forgive my sub-par grammar (socialist public schools). Im not quite sure if you're talking to me or Larry? Also, it was not my rant but our genius social observers' rant's that I posted. I just tend to agree with them:)

I hope the grammar in this post stands up to the high standard you have set. By the way, your grammar kind of sucks in the above paragraph.

      • georgegallo

        Thanks for straightening me out.
I still like what you posted.
It's kind of funny when someone (me) corrects someone else's spelling or grammar and then makes a mistake themselves. Priceless.
        High Standard… that's rich.
I was commenting on another post that was Wa Wa ing about the King/Ventura interview.

        • Sanger

          T'sall Good:)

  • ebwolf

Ventura 2012. He's probably the only guy with the name recognition, credibility, and media awareness to pull it off.

    • georgegallo

Yeah, when I say the same stuff, I'm just a crackpot.

      • Sanger

“The Truth Shall Set You Free”

      • jamacanmecrzy

Agreed, King kinda laughs and scoffs off on his remarks, as if he is a crackpot.
There will always be ridicule before something is taken seriously.
6 years ago back in high school my science teacher went off on how “we need to act accordingly” in regards to our fossil fuels, renewable energy, recycling etc. Everyone laughed at him, but now? It's the TREND to 'go green'!. (Not that this trend is unacceptable, its about time mainstream media decided to make it cool to recycle and reuse.)

        • georgegallo

Good one. I do what I can to keep my Carbon Footprint as low as possible. What drives me nuts is the 'anti-greenies.' Why is it a bad thing to do something good for our environment?

        • GoodDoktorBad

Larry King feels threatened by Jesse's remarks because the system he speaks of has been very, very good to him. Jesse just tickled his exceptionalist ego bone. Larry King is a rich old opinionated insect of a man who got his ant farm kicked.

    • Sanger

      Disagree

      • Sanger

This was in response to ebwolf's post “Ventura 2012. He's probably the only guy with the name recognition, credibility, and media awareness to pull it off.”

        Disagree, Completely!

      • ebwolf

        OK. Care to add why?

        • Sanger

Im always skeptical of people that want to obtain public office in this corporatist environment. I think its an ego power grab/god complex/opportunistic front. I think he fits a hero archetype (same with Schwarzenneger, not to mention his NAZI ties). Even with the best intentions, he would have very little help unless we all collectively vote for independent reps (although DIEBOLD would stand in the way), become actively involved in our civic duties (highly unlikely in this Country) and remove the corporate vampires from Congress. After all, a POTUS is not a dictator.

I think he would be far more effective organizing a grassroots movement. He should stop producing Conspiracy Theory TV because that is just discrediting him.

          Obviously, my opinion.

          • georgegallo

Yeah, Diebold. Jessie Ventura is absolutely correct, about his opinion on this. The second I heard about computerized voting machines, my eyes popped out of my head. I intuitively knew that such machines could be easily manipulated. Having no paper trail is a disastrous situation. Sometimes, technological innovations are not superior in accuracy to what already exists.
Yeah, the TV show is silly, but his book of the same subject is not.

          • Sanger

In reference to DIEBOLD and general election fixes, look what they did to Mike Connell (yes it is my allegation.):

yeah i saw that… fuckin elitist and their bunkers

    • ummmm….

maybe, but…. for some reason, as much as i agree and like what he says…. who knows what he would do or who may be paying him. i still find it odd that his show is on mainstream tv. order from chaos?? could that be where were heading? get everyone all pissed off (for good reason…but) and rioting. then shut us down, and get rid of all the dissenters? i dunno… i overthink sometimes. but “order from chaos” is a real saying….

  • GoodDoktorBad

Ah Geeez, Jesse Ventura, what can you say about this guy? He seems serious enough, his words seem to be a general atttempt at truthfulness. Its hard to disagrree with him. I want to like him……yet, I can't help but feel that he is somehow stained. Kinda like meeting a reptilian (ha ha) or a vampire who seem normal but the vibe is all wrong. Is it just that he was a pro wrestler and still has the big mouth of one- just toned down a bit?
    Is it just me? Hmmmmm….
