Republicans See Obama As The Antichrist

Americans who suggest Barack Obama should rot in hell are apparently deadly serious. Nearly a quarter of Republicans believe the Democrat president ‘may be the Antichrist’, according to a survey. An even greater number compared him to Hitler.

Mr Obama was jubilant this week after securing his £626billion healthcare reform plan. But his triumph seems only to have inflamed his critics among the evangelical Christians from America’s heartland who kept George Bush in power for eight years and have demonised his successor.

More than half of the Republicans quizzed by Harris Poll, 57 per cent, believed the president was secretly Muslim, something he has consistently denied. And 67 per cent of Republicans who responded believed Obama was a socialist, despite his central leanings…

    Hypocritical. This sort of language and belief was perfectly ok when Bush was in charge. I've heard him called hitler plenty of times, the republicans nazis, didn't hear the anti-christ cause the left wasn't usually using religious language but the meaning was there. He was the ultimate evil. Now the tables have turned and Obama is in charge. SURPRISE! The Democrats love THEIR president and the Republicans hate him instead of the past 8 years of vice versa! Politically ideological individuals will always be retarded.

      Calling a politician “Hitler” or some other pejorative is not at all comparable to believing someone is literally the Antichrist. The first is usually borne out of frustration; the second is just fucking retarded.

    Disgusting.. In the history of U.S. presidents there has always been assholes that compared every damn President to ether the “Anti-Christ” or Hitler, if said asshole happens to not agree with one of they're views! It's completely ignorant, immature, and doesn't do anything positive for anyone!
    …Still, I'm baffled how they can call Obama the “Anti-Christ” while George W. Bush was like pure concentrated evil!.. Bush should literally be serving life-imprisonment or death for multiple accounts! The dude started a war without even a legal declaration!

    Here's the real problem with this kind of crazy thinking. As Voltaire said, “If you can get people to believe in absurdities, you can get them to commit atrocities.”

    This is why it is particularly obscene that Republican lawmakers (who are educated enough to know better) were up there cheering that crowd of loons on, while they did things like hurl racial slurs at Congressman John Lewis, a man who has LITERALLY shed blood trying to make this country a better, more fair, kinder place for ALL. If just one of those douchebags decides to go out and do something violent, and a real tragedy occurs, I think those lawmakers ought to be prosecuted for incitement.

    Enough of this. You have a different opinion about the path we should take as a country? Fair enough, this is America. But the violence, and the craziness? Nah. That's gotta stop. Dial it down, already. And for that matter if you do honestly believe in a higher power, then let God take care of his own business – it's simply not your job. Your job is to treat your neighbor as you yourself would wish to be treated.

Perhaps while cruising his car down Broadway, and leaning toward his Mrs. in the passenger seat, but that’s about it, as far as leaning to the center goes. His policies, the people he has placed in positions of authority, and everything else he does, is as far left as can be.

    He can deny being a Muslim all he wants, as it’s OK to lie about it to the “infidels.” He went to a church with a pastor who hates white people, and America in general. Last Easter, it was reported that the Obamas were still seeking a new church, which has not been reported on in a year. How did that search turn out, by the way? He has gone to great lengths to cover up symbols of Christianity when he spoke at colleges. He is NOT Christian.
