Arizona Uses Puppet Video To Sell Immigration Law

What is wrong with Arizona?!? By Jordan Fabian for The Hill:

Who knew that Kermit the Frog was this into politics. The campaign of Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer (R) has put out a video that features a frog puppet — that looks much like the famous Sesame Street character — to help sell the state’s controversial immigration law.

The frog encourages opponents to read the immigration law before criticizing it.

Some may scoff, but the law has boosted Brewer in the polls over her Democratic opponent, Terry Goddard.

going beyond any possible satire, classic

it's good that Brewer is doing this. Obviously, the opponents of this law are too stupid to read it.

Maybe bringing the conversation down to their level will help them understand a little better.

the law is a waste of money, it is purely a political stunt.
it is unenforceable, you will either have stupid cops overstepping bounds and
and opening the door to massive lawsuits or you will have at best an empty gesture,
as the state has no authority in matters of national residency. illegal immigration is a huge problem but
things like this will do nothing to prevent, hope the Arizona attorney general for a nightmare.

    Stay classy, racists.

Feel free to use my newly-minted term “muppetsploitation” to denounce this kind of stereotyping and misuse of dearly beloved and misunderstood figures from children’s television shows.

Is it really so wrong to want someone to actually read the law before they start screaming about racism and the death of freedom in America? Have any of you actually read and paid attention to what it says? I can at least respect your right to an opinion if you're not just mindlessly screaming over something you know nothing about.
