Company Says It Has Solution For Gulf Oil Spill, But Being Ignored

Why won’t BP and the U.S. Government consider this solution to the Gulf oil spill disaster?

    That's about what I have come to expect nowadays. Unless that product can be successfully branded with the name of some hack politician, generate revenue for the oil company, or make the people responsible for the mess in first place look good it will never be used. I had a pretty good solution as well, but it too has fallen on deaf ears. All it requires is a time machine and the people involved in this situation to go back and do the right thing. I am not sure which part of my idea is more improbable.

    Why won’t BP and the U.S. Government consider this solution to the Gulf oil spill disaster? doesn't the lady say they have been given permission and have just got to wait. That suggests to me they have considered it.
    I suppose it had to be tested it first incase it made it worse, if thats possible.
    Beyond Petroleum, Deepwater Horizon, wtf?!!? They make themselves sound like something out of Star Trek, they're just asking for trouble giving themselves names like that. They should call them things like Deep Thrust Shaft or Spurting Geyser (geezer) it's a bit closer to what they are doing, Deepwater Horizon is oxymoronic for one thing, but even if there was a Horizon Deep in water BP have just reduced the visibilty down there to zero, very shortsighted of you BP!

    It doesn’t sound to me like its been “ignored,” just sent through the process. And yes, this process takes a long time because its the government.

    What happens when Fish eat it? Or birds? What happens when millions of pounds of this stuff is dumped into the ocean? Will it gum up the marshes or what? Is the company prepared to create the millions of pounds needed to clean up this spill? You can’t just go dumping this stuff out there because this guys says it works.
