Fuck yes! It is so refreshing to hear common sense and logic being spoken in that room. Hope it goes through.

This is entirely too sensible and just to EVER be a reality in this political climate. It would make too much of a positive difference in the lives of ordinary, struggling Americans. I know my paychecks would be a lot nicer.

  4. Point blank? Grayson is a stud.

What makes him a stud in that nest of vipers, is what would make him ordinary in any other room — he simply speaks honestly, uses common sense logic, and gives a damn about other people.

The Obama Administration is always fawning over lesser bills because they've mistakenly placed bipartisanship as a goal, rather than a means to an end, but this is both — this has both Ron Paul and John Conyers, and Dennis Kucinich backing it (among others)– which means you've got right, center, and left all onboard.

If it doesn't get backing, then Eisenhower was right, and the military-industrial complex is threatening representative democracy and the will of the people.

  5. How about the “Take Responsibility for Yourself Act” of 2010?

While it's easy (and sometimes accurate) to blame outside forces for individual problems, the fact remains that most Americans DO NOT use a budget to track and control their spending, and have no one to blame but themselves for their money troubles:

You're absolutely right. Everyone should live within their means….except the military, of course. They have to be allowed to spend whatever they want or we won't be safe.
