It’s no secret that Mel Gibson is a racist and anti-semite, if admittedly a decent actor and filmmaker. The question is, why does he keep flaunting it in public? Is it an Aussie macho thing? From RadarOnline.com:

In one of the most explosive, racist and vile outbursts by a celebrity ever caught on tape, Mel Gibson told the mother of his love child that the way she was dressed would get her “raped by a pack of n***ers,” RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.

It’s a shocking and blockbuster development in the couple’s bitter legal battle, and Mel’s disgusting words are on audio tape. His racist, misogynist statement is one of the secrets lurking in his war with his former girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva.

RadarOnline.com has heard the tape, which also includes Mel telling Oksana he will burn down her home.

Drunken Mel previously shocked the world with his anti-Semetic comments when busted for DUI. Now, the new racist outburst has taken the Oscar winner to an even deeper low.

His outburst came during a series of explosive arguments with Oksana, mother of his infant daughter Lucia. They have been battling in court, with documents under seal, for the past several weeks.

And there is more than one disgusting outburst from Mel. RadarOnline.com has listened to the hate-fuelled rants the Braveheart star unleashed during fights with Oksana as their relationship unraveled.

“You’re an embarrassment to me,” Mel tells her at one point.

“You look like a f***ing pig in heat, and if you get raped by a pack of n***ers, it will be your fault.”…

    The only thing controversial about Mel's comments is that he's racist against non-white people.

    Racism against whites will earn major awards. Susan Sontag, for example, said that “the white race is the cancer of human history,” and went on to win the MacArthur Fellowship, National Book Award and many other laurels.

      Oh please. She didn't win awards for saying that… so you're completely misrepresenting a causal relationship where there is none.

      I could troll the internet with dozens of people harboring racism towards non-whites who have won plenty of awards, Mel Gibson is a fine example. But whats the point? Are you trying to be the disinfo comment section equivalent of a Bill O'Reilly?

        Perhaps the pilght of white people as a whole cannot be truely called a pligh, especially since all the groups of people that are white, have had different plights, e.g. Irish, Jews, Polish…. But what is something of a shared sociological plight among those groups is having to deal with the label of being white and the guilt that goes with it, because of the sins of some other white people in the past and even today. Even though Mel has sone this before, but I am still bothered that he is made an example of in the media. I am a white guy who was brought up Catholic, and I never use racial pejoratives in private fights at home, or anywhere. I almost wish racial adjectives didn't exist. What our phenotypes express, don't accuratly say what our racial background is.

    Who cares? It was something he thought he was saying in private. Who among you can honestly say that if the world was following your every word, that you'd never be caught saying something awful? Americans are hyper-alert to hiding their prejudices– others are not so vigilant. Hiding your prejudice does not mean you do not have any.       Good point…if I had a recorder trailing me one of two things would happen…I'd be shunned like an Amish caught listening to a radio, or I'd get contracted by Hollywood to rewrite scripts and make them raunchier…but it would be a roll of the dice. Most of us don't live in a 'glass house'…Mel is at a disadvantage in that respect. Any stone he throws leaves carnage in its wake.

      Even if everyone entertains some degree of prejudice, that doesn't mean that we're all outright bigots, and that Mel is just saying what we all secretly think. He's not.

      That having been said, I really don't give a crap what his personal views are, or about the personal lives of celebrities in general. If he makes a good movie, I'll watch it. I don't care whether or not he's a douche IRL.

    Yeah, Mel is verbally abusive. If i EVER said anything in such a way to anyone, you'd better believe they'd been pushing me for a LONG time. It's one way people express their ASSHOLE side, which EVERY ONE of us has. His words had to have been inspired by something.
    Point is – there are TWO sides to this, and it's personal and NONE of our business. Racial epithets do not a racist make. He was a total dick, true. But she one-upped him by publicizing it. So who's the asshole? Game point…

    Seriously? In private you say “if you get raped by a pack of n***ers, it will be your fault.”? And most other people do too? I've said stupid and horrible things in the heat of anger, but nothing approaching that. As one of the leading voices on Christianity, this is very much our business. That she might be horrible too doesn't mean this isn't news. Anything that exposes fundamentalist Christian hypocrisy is good by me.
