The Washington Post’s Plans To Blow The Lid Off U.S. Intelligence

The Washington papers show no love for each other… here the Washington Times accuses its more fabled neighbor the Post of getting in the way of national intelligence, showing this memo:

    This may have to do something with the ongoing turf war between the ODNI (Office of the Director of National Intelligence) and the CIA.

    The Washington Post ran a story in March, in which former Clinton official Ronald Marks (who held a number senior positions during a 16-year CIA career) suggested the ODNI be scrapped altogether if ODNI director Dennis Blair were to resign. And lo and behold, two months after that article Dennis Blair was indeed fired, after U.S. officials “leaked” to the New York Times that he was pushing advanced French-US intelligence cooperation, which would effectively have meant that U.S. operations in France were to be run by French intelligence. This plan cooperation plan was rejected by Obama.

    As for the Washington Times, until recently it was owned and funded by the fascist Unification Church of Rev. Sun Myung Moon. Without the Unification Church the publication's future is uncertain.
