USAF: Aliens Still Controlling Nuclear Arsenal

On Monday The National Press Club will be hosting several retired USAF and RAF officers who will be testifying to the intervention and active monitoring of ICBMs by unidentified flying objects while they were stationed at missile facilities:

“I was on duty when an object came over and hovered directly over the site,” Salas said, regarding the March 16, 1967, event at Malmstrom AFB in Montana. “The missiles shut down, 10 Minuteman missiles. And the same thing happened at another site a week later,” he said.

While this story has been picked up by the illustrious Fox network here, there are other more detailed accounts of these events here, which include scans of the “declassified” documents. Salas has also penned a book about the events at Malmstron AFB in 1967 entitled Faded Giant.

Actually, I’ve been reading Leslie Kean’s new book “UFO’s: Generals, Pilots, and Government Officials Go On the Record” and the evidence regarding Malmstrom AFB is compelling, and hardly a one-of-a-kind thing. There are many such odd incidents connected to nuclear sites. Which presents you with two possibilities — either there really is something poking around both ours and the nuclear facilities of other countries, or the personnel who operate these deadly weapons are suffering from some sort of mental issues, despite clearing regular psych exams successfully, or these same WMD’s are malfunctioning in groups — either way, that has national security implications.And considering her journalistic credentials and serious investigative rigor, I’d take Leslie Kean’s book over some cheesy debunking blog who’s “About Us” page actually tells you nothing about the “them” who write it (most likely some goober sitting in his parents basement).Pointing out that two guys who were 60 ft underground saw no UFO is hardly something that discredits the incident. Of course they “saw” nothing. I mean really. All they can say is that their missiles spontaneously went into a no-go status. Salas was the one who received the call from the panicked security guard, and Salas then woke up crew commander 1st Lt Fred Meiwald who was on a break at the time to notify him, and just then the missiles began shutting down one-by-one. There were ten missiles at Oscar Flight , and all of them went down, not just in the silo where Figel and Carlson were located. The silos (which each have independent power sources) are located between 25 miles away from the main control center where the “whatever the hell it was” was hovering over. A week earlier a similar incident happened at Echo Flight 35 miles away and then Captain Don Crawford was the one who got the call fro an airman who’d seen the object as he was making his way towards the gates of one of the launch facilities. Kean retrieved a previously classified Air Force telex that stated point blank that at Echo Flight, another “10 missiles lost strat alert within ten seconds of each of other.” In total 20 missiles “malfunctioned” within the span of a week, something so statistically impossible as to defy explanation. Boeing engineers investigated and could find no mechanical reason why the missiles went down, but chalked it up to an EMP pulse of unknown origin, that somehow penetrated 60ft of solid bedrock.By his own admission in the link Drewhempel provided, Carlson has no personal knowledge about the results of any after-action investigation. Kean, by contrast, obtained previously classified docs via FOIA that confirm those results, and the Air Force’s concern about the security implications of the event, so in my book, that puts her a step ahead. With Carlson in particular, I think you basically just have a old man who wants to be left alone.It should also be noted that there were multiple civilian sightings offbase that corroborate that something weird was fucking around in the air over Montana at the same time as all this weird missile behavior.For Kean’s part, she does not make any claims to an “extraterrestrial” origin for any of the events she profiles in that book (which collectively paints a disturbing picture), incidentally, including the Malstrom incidents. Her contention is merely that something with significant air safety and national security implications is happening, and therefore should be neither “believed” blindly or “debunked” blindly, but rather be subject to proper, completely dispassionate, and impartial scientific investigation.A contention I happen to agree with. Extraterrestrial or not, even in terms of civilian aircraft, pilots have just as much chance of running into “whatever the hell this is” as they do getting hit by a bird strike or wind shear, so perhaps we should cut the crap and seriously investigate this stuff, so that they (and our national security professionals) can at a minimum, be trained not to overreact and get somebody killed.

    WTF are you talking about? The entire disinfo campaign about this issue originated with the company, because they thought the American people would panic if they dealt with it upfront. They aren’t promoting real study of the phenomenon, they’re doing two things, using the myth of “little green men” to hide test flights, and discredit anyone who witnesses them, and also to cover their own ass from having to explain why it is they can’t defend the skies from the things that AREN’T test flights, but which are true UNKNOWNS.

      Ha – you really haven’t read the documents on Malstrom — there’s a computer that oversees the network and that was the cause for the malfunction. Again James Carlson’s book has all the details. Ignore the information if you want — as ignorance is bliss. I prefer the truth.

  I was there ten years later. The control center was on Malmstrom, btw. At the age of 10, I was allowed to “simulate” a missile launch as my dad worked there. (BTW, you didn’t just push a button. Two people with keys stood far apart in a room and turned them at the same time while a third person did something I could not see.)
  
  FYI, we lived off-base on Gore Hill, one of the highest hills in this Big Sky country, on the west side of Great Falls, During broad daylight in 1977 or thereabouts, I and six other people saw a UFO. We first caught a glint of metal over the northern part of Great Falls (Black Eagle) and watched as it flitted over the city. It finally shot toward the south, disappearing in mid-air.
  
  Though my mother, best friend and I (along with others) saw this UFO, my father denies any knowledge of UFOs regarding Malmstrom and the missiles. This, however, was 10 years after the occurrences mentioned by Salas. I had no confirmation regarding UFO sightings in that area until the federal government finally caved in to demands to declassify some UFO documents and I found on the internet that in 1968, Malmstrom was calling Great Falls police to help chase down UFOs.
  
  If UFOs were messing with the missiles, why wasn’t the military passing this information down to whoever they put in charge of the missiles? Did the UFOs shut down missiles in 1968 as well or was it all just about cops chasing them away from the silos?
  
  So many questions; so few answers.

Good I’m glad that someone is in charge of the nukes. Because if it’s not the doing of the saucermen then those systems shutting down willy-nilly would indicate some scarily shoddy engineering.

There are hundreds of military people that have seen legitimate UFOs. There are also hundreds of radar and military aircraft confirmations. Many confirmed sightings & interference dealing with nuclear weapons. The most famous being the Rendlesham Forest incedent. Appartently the military sees ufos as no threat to national security, or there is nothing they can do about it. If ufos are concerned about nuclear explosions, why would they allow so many above ground test in the 1950′s and 1960′s?

The lack of panic or follow up amoung the upper ranks of the military suggests they already knew what was going on. Simplest explanation would be because they already knew wha, whatt ever it was, was and maybe because they where responsable for it. Test of a remote anti missile system perhaps.
