Chris And Stephen Go To Washington

Stephen Colbert testified before Congress recently, and a good amount of the media have been trying to deflect from his message by accusing him of “wasting time.”

Isn’t it interesting though that they didn’t think it was such a waste of time when, a few years earlier, Chris Farley made an appearance there?

(Chris Farley rules.)

The tightness of their schedule and the importance of the upcoming debates are actually mentioned during the video, and yet the entire room rises for a standing ovation as soon as Chris Farley enters the rooms (which is, of course, the only reaction possible when he walked into a room).

Stephen Colbert’s presence was declared a “waste of time” because he was speaking up for the rights of immigrants, something very few politicians have been willing to do.

Hasn’t Elmo from Sesame Street testified before congress, too?

    • William Xavier McGarley

I heard he got the @#%! beat out of him by security on the way in. Aparently he tried walking in without any trousers on.

I consider openly mocking the worthless shits on that committee to be the only worthwhile testimony offered in congress in ages.

Neither the press nor the rest of the Beltway establishment have forgiven Colbert for publicly embarrassing them TO THEIR FACES at the White House Correspondent’s Dinner — but it remains one of the finest, most awesome things I’ve ever seen in my life. Speaking truth to power by showing them what colossal douchebags they all are.
