Banks Accused of Illegally Breaking Into Homes

Mr. PotterMan, can’t wait for WikiLeaks to release their (alleged) dirt on Bank of America. If that bank does what is reported below, who knows what else the Banksters of America have been involved with. Andrew Martin reports in the NY Times:

TRUCKEE, Calif. — When Mimi Ash arrived at her mountain chalet here for a weekend ski trip, she discovered that someone had broken into the home and changed the locks.

When she finally got into the house, it was empty. All of her possessions were gone: furniture, her son’s ski medals, winter clothes and family photos. Also missing was a wooden box, its top inscribed with the words “Together Forever,” that contained the ashes of her late husband, Robert.

The culprit, Ms. Ash soon learned, was not a burglar but her bank. According to a federal lawsuit filed in October by Ms. Ash, Bank of America had wrongfully foreclosed on her house and thrown out her belongings, without alerting Ms. Ash beforehand.

In an era when millions of homes have received foreclosure notices nationwide, lawsuits detailing bank break-ins like the one at Ms. Ash’s house keep surfacing. And in the wake of the scandal involving shoddy, sometimes illegal paperwork that has buffeted the nation’s biggest banks in recent months, critics say these situations reinforce their claims that the foreclosure process is fundamentally flawed.

My family is dealing with a Bank of America foreclosure right now, we got screwed out of at leat $40,000 throughout all of this. That’s 40K that we weren’t even supposed to owe. Yet somehow, this is legal… we’re moving into a trailer from a town-home that was once affordable.

    • really truly sorry to hear this.

    • Make them produce the note. 9 times out of ten, they can’t. And if they can, most times it’s one of these fraudulent, signed after-the-fact by some office temp schmuck. Show that to the judge, and you can burn the living shit out of the bank.

Sadly, this will never happen since our government is run by corrupt ex-CEO’s, and the citizenry sheep don’t care unless it happens to them.
Face it, the only thing that’ll work is to wipe out the entire country structure with a long overdue second American civil war and start all over again. We’ve let the rich enslave the poor for far too long, time to kill off the evil bastards since that’s what they’ve slowly been doing to all of us.

  7. The only thing that will put them in line is the sight of top bank executives and board members swinging from lamp posts while enraged citizens hold torches.

A few weeks ago there was the similar story in the Houston Chronicle but was a man, and he wasn’t coming home from a ski trip.
