Chamber of Commerce Betrays America Again: Opposes 9/11 Responders Healthcare Bill

USCoCIt seems that the Chamber of Commerce lobbied against the bill to give specialized healthcare to 9/11 rescuers which would have been fully paid for by closing a $7.4 billion dollar tax loophole that benefited FOREIGN corporations.

The very misnomered “U.S.” Chamber of Commerce is best known for throwing gobs of money into the last election at the idiotic Supreme Court’s urging, attempting to get a flood of corporate hacks masquerading as populists elected to Congress, and also for it’s fearless “leader”, Tom Donohue, who famously claimed he’d make any candidate who even dared MENTION helping the poor, bleed and cry.

Yeah. A real prince among men. And that is the real spirit of that organization. A giant eff you to anyone who isn’t a billionaire, that claims to work for small businesses, but doesn’t. Nathan Diebenow writes in RAW Story:

The US Chamber of Commerce lobbied to kill a bill that would have helped cover medical expenses and compensation for first responders and survivors of the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks, according to documents available online.

The Chamber’s aim was to keep open a tax loophole benefiting foreign corporations that the $7.4 billion bill would have closed to provide funding for the American emergency workers.

In a letter opposing the 9/11 bill, R. Bruce Josten, the Chamber’s executive vice president for Government Affairs, cautioned that closing the tax loophole would harm US trade relationships and financial markets.

The New World Order isn’t going to be a one world government, it’s going to be corporate feudalism.

Nailed it in one stroke, dude. People have many different visions of whats to come…some paranoid ramblings about ‘communism and socialism’…some the marching boots of fascism and nationalistic fervor…but the only people I see gaining serious ground fast…are the corporate entities that have been granted expanded protection, expanded authority and near immunity from scrutiny or accountability. The purse strings now exclusively dictate the terms…and corporations hold those strings, not socialist collectives or hippy professors or activists. Government does their bidding when they come to call…so the relationship between master and servant is pretty painfully clear…and its only going downhill.

Yep, anyone near New York City anytime around 2001 deserves free health care for life. Got it. It’s the American way.

What a shitty and disingenuous way to crap on the plate of dying people who who gave their all in response to one of the greatest disasters ever to befall the US. Considering how you have marked yourself as an inhuman psychopath anyway I suggest we start by confiscating everything you own and giving it to them.

For those of you out there WITH a soul, please consider a private donation to the Fealgood Foundation to assist the sick and dying first responders of 9/11 that have been abandoned by a thoroughly corrupt, heartless and fascist system for 9 long years – http://www.fealgoodfoundation.com/

Don’t you understand? Halliburton and Xe deserve that tax money, not the police and firemen who saved American lives on 9/11. Those leeches are stealing hard earned food out of Dick Cheney’s and Erik Prince’s babies’ hard earned mouths.
