Far Right Supporting Terrorist Organization

People's_Mujahedeen_of_Iran_logoAaron Cynic writes at Diatribe Media:

Just before Christmas, The Washington Post reported that former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani, former secretary of Homeland Security Tom Ridge and two other former Bush officials took a trip to France, home of the “cheese eating surrender monkeys,” to demand President Obama take the MEK (Mujaheddin-e Khalq) off the FTO list.

The MEK supported Saddam Hussein in Iraq, killed U.S. soldiers in the ’70s in Iran and has been known to “routinely aim its attacks at government buildings in crowded cities.” Rudy, Tom and friends want the MEK cleared off the list because they wish to depose the current Iranian regime. In other words, the MEK engaged in terroristic activities — some in support of America’s enemies and some which killed American soldiers – but that’s water under the bridge because the hard right needs someone to do the dirty work.

Good stuff. The public seems to need continual reminding of this.

But of course it’s hardly news. Been tackled in a much more lighthearted, Hollywood sorta way with Tom Hanks playing the lovable subverter of American foreign policy and blue dog Democrat, Charlie Wilson.

Oh that rascally ol’ Charlie! Will he EVER learn?

nice to know we haven’t learned from our mistakes even though we’re fighting a hot war with one of them right now

In case we’ve all forgotten- The U.S. once supported Saddam Hussein’s “leadership” and supplied Iraq with weapons including poison gas munitions.
Perhaps some of the same WMD’s we later used as justification for war with Iraq.
Duality seems to be the rule -not the exception.

US foreign policy… yeah… anyone notice the IMF (International Monetary Fund) come up recently as well? I’d like to take the opportunity to remind anyone reading that the IMF has never even ONCE succeeded in its purpose of helping other countries into financial freedom, 100% of the time the results of the IMF becoming involved have helped to destroy all cultural heritage in foreign countries to turn them toward our brand of capitalism, causing widespread unrest in these nations leading to a decrease in productivity and an increase in dependance on the US for money and products, resulting in INCREASED financial difficulty for foreign nations.

This is just one example to show that our foreign policy is not in the least bit benevolent for anyone but top executives in large businesses, who seem to be the only recipients of any form of government assistance recently. This article just screams at how much we’ve been lied to, for those who haven’t figured it out already, the majority of the recent economic and terrorist campaign are all the PRODUCT of our corporations and our government and they are in no way attempting to stop these crises, but they are attempting to prolong them. They are also making a great attempt to confuse the public into accepting the threat and believing that it will not harm them. This is a lie, nothing is getting better, nothing will get better until our politicians and corporations are brought to justice, if this doesn’t happen, our nation will soon die.

Maybe it’ll be some small comfort you to know that Charlie Wilson is apparently getting his payback in the Hot Place right now. He died in February of last year.

I’m thinking of chartering a bus and getting a bunch of friends together for a pilgrimage to piss on his grave. Folks can leave me a message at the blog if they want in.
