Women Activists In UK Protest Police Infiltration And Sex Tactics

579px-New_Scotland_Yard_sign_3For all those who still imagine that infiltration of activists is a myth… From James Meikle at the Guardian:

Women activists are to blockade Scotland Yard today, intending to demand to know the identity of any undercover police who have infiltrated their organisations.

As evidence continued to emerge of police officers having had sexual relations with people they were monitoring, the women said they wanted to know if they had been “abused” by police.

Though senior police insisted that sleeping with activists during such operations was banned, a former agent claimed such “promiscuity” routinely had the blessing of commanders.

The activists’ concerns follow the revelation that the undercover PC Mark Kennedy had sexual relationships with several women during the seven years he spent infiltrating environmental activists’ groups. Last week the Guardian identified more officers who had sex with the protesters they were sent to spy on. One officer, Jim Boyling, married an activist and had two children with her…

    “Prove you’re not a cop, f**k me!”

On the one hand, in the abstract (I hope), I fear where this is heading, which I suspect is something like, “If you have sex with a woman and misrepresent yourself in any way, whether by commission or omission, your female partner didn’t truly give consent to you (she gave it to the man she thought you were) and it is therefor rape.”

On the other hand, it is a deeply dishonorable thing to do to have sex with (let alone marry and start a family with) someone while you are actually just a spy.

But on the third hand, how did the women of Britain’s left become so sexually deprived that “state-endorsed sexual manipulation” is even possible? And they’re falling for cops!

Uh… I don’t think there is any case for rape. Curious you would get that out of this. If anything, these “spies” are so completely useless it’s laughable.

Yeah, justagirl, I feel you. Should I barf or be turned on? I mean, are these cops just state-sponsored mack daddies, or is it possible that these women are unwittingly seducing the cops–perhaps even swaying them over to their side?

This post is great, but I need some juicy details now! Which is perverse and ridiculous. I should be indignant at such a flagrant abuse of state power. And I am. I’m pissed. But seriously, did they use condoms, or what?

Disgusting. For those who have asked or obviously misunderstood based on the comments here, the problem is that these officers seduced members of the activist groups they were infiltrating to gain their trust and allay any suspicion over their actions. This isn’t “wow, chemistry happens”. It’s a specific tactic that may be banned on the books but is promoted as a good strategy for gaining trust within the rest of the group.

In English Law a man lying about his identity and then having sex with a woman and the woman not knowingly consenting to sex is Rape.
