How’s it any different then Grimm’s fables? The originals where pretty much all bad kids get murdered and/or eaten?

People don’t generally go around starting wars, murdering people wholesale, picketing funerals, or beating their wives and kids because of their adherence to the holy principles embodied in Grimm’s Fairy Tales – just to a book that bears a striking resemblance to it.

Many Grimm’s fables are said to be representations of cosmic laws from an astral plane perspective. The challenge with fundamentalists is that everything is taken literally instead of the story describing an abstract principle. That said, Jesus did come to clean up much of the garbage thinking shown in the Old Testament. Yet many fundamentalists, choosing between what Jesus said and what the Old Testament said, will go for the the Old Testament. Which creates many grim tales.

I credit the Bible books in waiting rooms and sunday school with contributing to my gayness. All the illustrations of redheaded gorgeous David being lusted over by jealous old Saul. Better quality than most low rent porn.
