Hell yeah! Yet another thing that Ron Paul has said that makes total and complete good sense! Everything I’ve heard this guy say so far sounds GREAT!

    End the Fed!
    End the WOD!

Go Ron! Maybe if we can get Ron Paul into the white house things will finally begin to change for the better in this country!

EDIT: AFTER LOOKING AT RON’S POSITIONS ON ALL THE ISSUES, I NO LONGER SUPPORT HIM!

The one and only thing about Ron Paul that scares me is that he is highly anti-regulation. Despite this, everything about him, and everything he says seems more, for lack of a better word, real. He seems to actually believe in truth which is something that is wondrous for a politician.

I agree, it’s time to dump the notion that the USA is some sort of puritanical country. Take away the mystery of drugs, add a little tax, save money on not having a “war”, save money on courts, prison etc. put all that money towards rehab (the fatties have Jenny Craig :) and drug education. Oh wait, I forgot the USA is BANKRUPT…. too late :( Meanwhile we still let Afghanistan grow coke to sell to Wall Street bankers who destroyed the country, WTF? Is everyone an idiot, no they are just too busy on facebook!

Just a quick note, Afghanistan grows poppy not cocaine. But you are correct on everything else.

I loved it when he called the guy out on being fat, I would venture to say that a war on obesity would probably result in even larger numbers of non-violent “criminals” being arrested for unlawful possession of cooking oil.

I can’t help but think that if Ron Paul were to ever gain the Executive seat of the Oval Office that, all of a sudden, his righteous ideals of Liberty would disappear.

He’d never make all the way through an election cycle and claim the seat…he’d get the same treatment that other rowdy people who don’t play ball properly get…which is to say that within weeks of election time he would have a personal crisis of faith, mutter something about caring about his family more than seeking office, and bow out only to be heard from the fringes ever again.

That or he might pull a Smedley Butler and actually say in public “There have been death threats against me and my family because I have refused to play the game as I was instructed to.” At which point a media frenzy will occur painting him as insane.

Either way…if he runs…I’d recommending his avoiding small aircraft and roads with steep cliffs. Maybe buy a geiger counter and check his food and living quarters hourly. That kinda thing.

HA! Suck it, Aarondames, I was right: if someone like Vox agrees with me, then it’s true: if Ron Paul goes Republican, he’ll end up just like McCain: a complete tool.

I’m not exactly a guarantee of quality analysis lol…since my cynicism gland is at least triple the size of my optimism gland…but thanks for the vote of confidence.

The highest praise I could give to a politician is the praise I give to Ron Paul above…the implication that threats would have to be used against him to force his compliance. Most people only require bribes…but I actually suspect that Ron Paul might require serious intimidation to silence him.

dont judge a person based on your standards dude.
