“Liberals” Take Over The Media

zine diagram-DAs far as memes go, “liberals control the media” seems pretty prevalent. People who long for the days of school spankings shriek it at the top of their lungs – actual liberals believe it if only so they can believe they control something. But as we slowly descend back to Earth we realize The Media is a business.

And the point has been made that you could look long and hard through the board of directors of any of the media giant(s) before you find an honest-to-God Liberal. Liberals are tolerated in the media to the extent that they can make their bosses money.

All these points became clear to me in light of a new propaganda film (made by Citizens Against Government Waste) making the rounds where we see a group of Chinese circa 2030 cackling over America’s demise. Maybe you’ve seen it too – where some communists attribute America’s immanent doom to our use of socialism. Yeah, makes perfect sense. But it begs the question …

Where’s the “LIBERAL” version of that commercial? The one where a group of wealthy industrialists sit in smoke filled rooms, counting their money, laughing at the people who believe killing brown people is their patriotic duty and the guy who wants universal health care is the Antichrist …

No, you don’t see that commercial, do you? Well maybe we should make it. And we’ll call it: The American Party.

    “Liberals” no more control the media (or anything) than “conservatives” do … EvilCorp controls them all. And the caricature of “liberalism” or “socialism” (or “Islam” or “conspiracy theory” or “libertarianism”) that’s used by the media to scare and control the masses is exactly identical to the Satan myth used by the Church for the same purpose — it’s a self-contradictory paper tiger, constructed out of false platitudes, prejudices, and outright lies.

    Maybe I’m a little confused, and not “getting” something here, but your “Liberal” version of the commercial is the hardcore Conservative take on things isn’t it?? Or did I miss some satire somewhere in there?

    SOMEBODY certainly has some controlling effect – some stories covered are deemed neutral, or at best “non-detrimental” and are what we usually see in print, then there are other stories that are known to be squashed and never surface unless you search them out on various alternative news sites (and you have to be discerning there too, as propaganda thrives on ALL fronts!)

    Some mentioned the idea of Jewish control of hollywood being a racist myth, but its a racist truth. Just because something is ugly it doesn’t make it un-valid.

    Marlon Brando once remarked at how just about every racist stereotype(the really really racist kinds) had been featured in hollywood in many places, all but the kinds about jews.
