Why Bill O’Reilly Is Running Scared Of Alex Jones

Alex Jones’ colleague Paul Joseph Watson, editor of InfoWars, details the horror expressed by traditional media stalwarts like Bill O’Reilly at Jones’ sudden appearance in the mainstream:

It has become abundantly clear that the establishment is so petrified of the fact that Alex Jones is at the tip of the spear of a new media revolution that is sweeping away the old guard, that we have now reached the point where talking heads like Bill O’Reilly and indeed the Obama White House itself dare not even mention his name.

During a segment about “the dumbest things of the week,” Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly entertained his dwindling geriatric audience by poking fun at Alex Jones’ appearance on The View last week, chuckling and guffawing at the behavior of “some guy on the radio, we really don’t know who he is.”

Unfortunately for Bill O’Reilly, whose own radio show was cancelled in 2008 because of plummeting ratings, that “guy on the radio” is totally creaming Billo on every measurable platform.

While O’Reilly has lost 21% of his younger viewers, the Alex Jones Show is routinely number one on Shoutcast and has attracted You Tube viewing figures totaling hundreds of millions.

Bill O’Reilly’s flagship website is ranked at a truly pathetic 45,000 on Alexa.com, compared to Alex Jones’ Infowars which comes in 43,000 places above him at around 2,000…

O’Reilly is a fuckweed but he has every right to mock Alex Jones. It’s not a great development that a guy like Alex Jones, who is as much an unhinged liar as Glenn Beck, except he targets both parties, is becoming a mainstream voice. It’s good that people question the government, but Jones is a conspiracy addict. Further reinforced by him getting paid for it.

Just listen to a weeks worth of Bill Cooper, in the golden age of conspiracy theory(where people actually tried to do real research and be correct about what they say), and compare it to hacks like Alex Jones and Glenn Beck. They are designed in a way to educate about the problems that are really going on, but in a tactical manner such that those that listen to them stay in the illusion. Bill Cooper’s motto was “don’t believe anything I say until you actually do your own research”. The hacks’ motto is the same as everyone else’s today: “This is the way it is, it is true, and if you don’t believe me, You are Wrong!”.

Nailed it in one stroke, dude. Cooper understood his role as a bringer of dangerous ideas…and never presumed that he was some messianic deliverer of perfection.

Note the start of the article: tying a media pundit in with the Obama White House for both failing to mention the Alex Jones show. The implication that the silence is due to their terror at the thought of truth emerging.

Really…O’Reilly’s taunts just show his usual lack of sanity when dealing with anyone else who has a show. Cheap shots are his stock and trade. The White House is so far above entering these petty disputes that answering cranks from infowars would be a waste of their time…not to mention lower their credibility even further (and thats saying something after the last 6 administrations).

As for Jones…he was on the View. It wasn’t a mighty victory for alternative media…it was a quick PR burst to resuscitate things after our predicted Doomsday by injection and eventual enslavement in camps failed to launch…repeatedly. Preaching the end of the world is a good living…if you can stomach lying that often and that loudly. Obviously, Alex Jones has a strong stomach.

Well said…I don’t agree with a lot of Bill Cooper’s theories but I do think you are right in suggesting that he, at the very least, put a lot of research into them. Also his theories changed over the years which is proof that he was willing to take in new information and then was open minded enough to accept he may have been wrong. You’d never see the likes of Beck, or Jones do something like that!!

You’re just plain wrong about Alex. He has the documents, and he’s sick of it. So am I with all you Bill Cooper loving trolls. He challenges his listeners to check out the facts too. Suck a bag of diks.

What ever you think about Alex Jones-He talks about subjects that should make you think and look at things from a different view. Don’t get me wrong-some of the subjects Alex brings up is WAY OUT THERE, but a few things he is dead on. Probably Alex’s best detective work was his filming of BOHEMIAN GROVE. Rumors of BOHEMIAN GROVE have been around for decades, and Alex Jones finally proved that a bunch of powerfull men CONSPIRE together.

For me, “Bohemian Grove” is what made me doubt Jones forever. “Look,” he says, “They’re worshiping the occult! They’re not Christian!” As if the latter’s better than the former.

      • MoralDrift

the point is that national and world leaders, who in public often profess to be Main Street America Christians, were secretly gathering for years at bizarre occult rituals to discuss who knows what.

        • http://www.theamericanbookofthedead.com Henry

Personally I’d prefer if the powers that be worshiped the occult, because it’s less of a closed circuit. But his pov was that the occult was evidence that they’re eeevil. I’m not saying BG is savory, but his take was conservative.

News reporting has changed to a farce to get ratings. When news reports are reporting on each other there seems to be a problem. Again I think the internet and cable tv seem to take a bit of the blame because there are too many streams of information coming in too fast. I don’t believe there is an Infowar rather an information overload. Also, search engines have their favorite as to who gets to the top first in results. Everything being reported has become very skewed. These people get paid by advertising revenues, they are more actors than reporters.

That’s hilarious. I can’t believe they wouldn’t even say the name Alex Jones. Notice how O’Reilly DOES say Michael Moore’s name. Moore fits well into the bipartisan oligarchy system. Moore’s “dissent” only works at the emotional level, often leaving people more confused.

Sorry to break it to you, but the reason most politicians and television personalities don’t discuss or debate him is the same reason Dawkins doesn’t debate certain religious figures: it would legitimize someone who has no claim to legitimacy. Jones is a paranoid maniac, a proven liar, and has done nothing but encourage already paranoid masses to fear every shadow. He doesn’t deserve on air attention, not even on Faux News, and especially not here.

Funny how people say Alex Jones is full of crap and is always wrong… and iv checked but i cant find it proven. Only thing i find is Y2K. Funny Thing about these people they worship Bill Cooper who most of what he said could never be proven period. Bty Bill cooper is a retard who basically begged to be killed and made it so the cop that did it could never be found guilty. He said all the time if the cops come to arrest me i am shooting it out. His final day he assaulted a guy ran home and waited for the police. Am i saying they did not kill him no but the guy was a dumb ass.

The only distinction I was trying to make with Bill Cooper was that he very well understood how crazy the things he was talking about were. Whether or not he knew what he was talking about or even believed what he was talking about, he made it quite clear to the listener to go out and try to confirm these things, because he knew that he could be wrong about them. That in it of itself is a valuable lesson to take away: to listen to what people say, then doubt it, and finally do your own research. He very commonly said, that you must even listen to your enemies to know both what they are thinking and what they want you to think, so you can act intelligently.

In respect to Alex Jones, I always hesitate to say the stuff he talks about is wrong, but it is quite clear that he gets most of his revenue from fear of his listeners. All of his advertisements are for the end of the world, or the economic collapse, or the turning off of the power grid, the rise of food prices, or the installation of FEMA camps or any other conceivable disaster to a US citizen. None of the products sell without the fear. I don’t know if he’s put 2 and 2 together but for him fear = $$$

      • WILLPOOPER

If what he says scares you maybe you should really check it out. You can either be paralyzed by fear or do something about it! I bet you are one of those “love or fear” guys/ girls? I used to want the world to be “Disney” so bad. I thought, no one could be that bad right? Point is iv learned i don’t have to pretend there is not a problem and i also don’t have to be scared either.

No theres no fear in me. It’s simply understanding that things are much more complex than they first appear. I pay attention to what Alex says as well; it is a voice on an important border, but he is only one man. I know that he does not know everything, and I am seemingly aware of this truth more than he is. I just want people to be wary and think about his words more carefully than treating it as pure fact.

T!hank God! A voice of reason on this forum. I just don’t get it. Someone help me out here. What is all this vitriolic rage against Ales Jones. Do any of you really suspect him to be Fed? Is it because he’s christian? Are all of you fags atheist? I’m Agnostic, extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof. As to this notion of his messianic ego maniac…grow up. Yes he’s emotional, so what. The man can’t show any emotion without a bunch you claiming it’s all fake… blah, blah, blah. Grow up! Better yet, actually listen to his radio show once in a while. I can’t think of anyone more sane. Suck It!
