Stop! Mormon Time!

The MC Hammer mash-up of one of my all-time favourite Tube finds: the infamous and frequently taken down ‘Banned Mormon Cartoon’:

It works on so many levels: there’s the layer upon layer of questionable taste, to be sure, but it also nails the near-Docetic Christology of the LDS. It turn out that you really can’t touch – MORMON JESUS!

And it seems Mitt Romney could say the same about his bid for the White House …

    I’ve been to Salt Lake City & took the Tabernacle Tour conducted by two well dressed, well spoken young women who presented me with a copy of The Book Of Mormon. Cool tour :] I read “The Book,” cool story :], and it can be found in the “fiction” section of your public library.

    Since I enjoy tea, coffee & alcohol, and am averse toward a strict, dogmatic lifestyle, I have not converted from my “Secular Christian” roots. However, polygamy does appeal to me, but it’s practice is not on the menu.

    BTW, MC Hammer is not on MY menu, bless his heart. Also, the only LDS I’ve taken is pronounced LSD.

    Furthermore, revisionist malarkey carved on gold in upstate New York is not on my diet either. Humor is & I LOL frequently with glee & ROFL with gusto.

    I take my “disinformation” regularly in small doses and am not addicted to life “as we know it”, although I AM hooked on my version of “life as it should be.”

    In conclusion, I embody the “liberal view” even though I am not always open & honest. Aren’t we all “sinners?” For me, however there is no salvation & I fancy myself as an Epicurean, not the pejorative hedonist.

      No one is an ex-Mormon. You know that in your heart. You wish you could be but it can’t happen. So, where do we go from here? I speak from profound experience. Did your mother drop you accidentally on your head as a child? Mine did…on solid cement stairs at my grandparents home. She slipped on the ice. I was only two months old at the time. I carried my “horns” on my forehead throughout my life. While not overly pronounced they were and still are there. As for the real damage caused? I have found out several years ago through the wonders of modern medicine called x-ray imaging why my life has been controlled and ordered by my sexual behavior. While not physically harming anyone violently my habits and practices have literally destroyed me and those I have loved by guilt and confusion. I do not blame the Mormon faith in any way because I believe it is true and everlasting. Also, I do not excuse my sad life results on the LDS Church. Knowing of my misfortune, due to an unfortunate occerance in infancy has helped in some small way to ease my personal suffering mentally at least. Fortunatly I do have familly around me who continue sharing their love without question. Some things must have been done correctly along the journey. Thank God for small favors…..keep the faith…in silence if necessary…be safe..flr.
