Gil Scott-Heron was one of a kind. His politically-infused songs and poetry defined a new generation of activism for many people in the ’70s and ’80s. The “Godfather of Hip-Hop” died on Friday, May 27, 2011 in New York. Remembering Gil, here’s a video of his best known work, The Revolution Will Not Be Televised.
