Osama Bin Laden: Death Of An Advertising Icon

It may come as a surprise to some Americans, but since 9/11, Osama bin Laden’s name and visage have been prime fodder for use in corporate ad campaigns (elsewhere) around the world, symbolizing a range of meanings. Buzzfeed has an overview of some of the best examples of Osama advertising, demonstrating that terrorism, like sex, sells. Just imagine the unbelievable bankability he would have commanded had he not been in hiding.

Oh, I don’t think we’ve seen the end of the money funnel here by a long shot–2012 is expected to be our first $2 billion election.

And my instinct says, that with 554 days to go, and just about zero chance of Obama being able to satisfy expectations of a pull out or even a significant troop reduction, a good chunk of that will be him trying to play Osama for defense.

Question…..Did Osama or any members of his family profit from his image being used? If so the companies that used his image should be charged with terrorism.

  • Truth is like a bubble

It’s absolutely ridiculous how people can be so gullble to think that Osama was killed by US forces last night. All of a sudden they felt bad for him and wanted to give him an Islamic burial within 24 hours, fly his corpse over 400 miles away and ditch it into the sea? BS! Obamas White House has manipulated the mass media and turned this into something it is not. He tried to play the race card, then releasing a birth certificate…..he thinks by saying we killed Bin Laden, with no proof, only believing what they say is good enough is a laughing riot.
Bin Laden died years ago of liver and kidney failure.

By the way…anyone notice that Yahoo turned off the comment section on EVERY SINGLE article on Bin Ladens death?

Wee at the CIA deplore your inability to buy-into our psyop and suggest you see a doctor for more Prozac. Also, stop smoking weed, it’s clouding your vision.

The Loch Ness Monster is real! I saw him! But instead of running lab tests to see if it really was a prehistoric monster I just shot him and dumped his body in the ocean. But I honestly he was real. Just believe me. Now re-elect me and give me more money to go kill Big Foot in Lybia.

Why? I admit I have some apprehensions about the course events take from here, but I see opportunities as well as setbacks.

What in particular has you concerned? Or is it just a generalized disgust with the low-grade horseshit ra-ra rhetoric that we can expect to be fed for the next month or so?

    How to choose a wig
Choosing the right wig (hair prosthesis) can be a difficult decision. If you choose to wear a wig, the best wig for you will be one that:
    1、Appears natural-looking.
    2、Feels comfortable and fits well.
    3、Fits your budget.
When you shop for a wig, be sure to ask three questions:
What kind of hair is the wig made of?
    How is the wig made?
How do you attach the wig to the scalp?
If you want to know more details, you can google thiswig for further information.
