Image Comics’ ‘The Big Lie’ Asks Some Big Questions

It has been nearly 10 years since 9/11, and the tragedy is still on the minds of many Americans. One of those, writer and artist Rick Veitch, is convinced we haven’t been told the complete truth about it.

The questions surrounding that fateful day power the themes and story of his new Image Comics series The Big Lie, which debuts Sept. 7 and reteams Veitch with fellow artist Gary Erskine.

Veitch structured the story similarly to the 1963 Twilight Zone episode “No Time Like the Past,” in which a man uses a time machine to try to “fix” three events: warning a Hiroshima policeman about the atomic bomb, assassinating Hitler before World War II and stopping the sinking of the Lusitania.

In The Big Lie, the heroine is a woman named Sandra, who lost her husband, Carl, during the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City. A particle physicist working at the Large Hadron Collider, she figures out a practical way to travel back in time, so she ventures from present day to Manhattan an hour before the first plane hits the towers on Sept. 11, 2001.

    Wow. The “divide & conquer” op is working like a charm. There seems to be a lot of decent, knowledgeable people here arguing with low-grade sell-out morons (LGSOM). Personally, I try to find people who know we are in deep trouble, who know we are being lied to repeatedly and who want to learn what they can do to stop the maggot infestation. I spend my valuable time educating real Americans about how this world is run by narcissistic trash.

    We are running out of time. We can’t waste our time arguing with these idiots. These scum-bags need to be confronted from a fundamental perspective. That said, feel free to use the following to scold other LGSOM’s trash who are spewing there know-it-all-know-nothing crap.

    LGSOM is just another facet of the corrupt, rogue and illegitimate trash orchestrating the social collapse. LGSOM is short sighted. and probably hasn’t figured this out yet. LGSOM is in a lose-lose situation. LGSOM will be hurt bad by the elitist if their plan is successful and/or punished when the Republic is restored. LGSOM, the power elite have been murdering, by proxy, millions of good people and morons like yourself for centuries. Consequently, they have a particular distain for sell-outs because they know you can not be trusted.

    LGSOM, you are too stupid to know that you endangering your life, my life, the lives of the good people here trying to educate your dumb ass. You are endangering all of there loved ones, my loved ones and all of the loving, innocence people of this world. You’ve been conned into thinking you are part of the power structure. You are a coward and as vulnerable as the rest of us. LGSOM, insiders know who you are and have identified you. You shall be held accountable for your counter-productive actions. 

    LGSOM scum-bag traitor, you shall be punished. You shall pay the American people back. Your assets shall be liquidated. If your assets do not cover your take, you shall toil in a work camp at twenty-five cents an hour until your debt to the American people is paid back or until you expiration. LGSOM, bear in mind that the channels that give you the scum-money is so inefficient that you need to multiply your take by twenty. Therefore, if you received one hundred dollars, you owe the American people two thousand dollars. If you received one thousand dollars, you owe the American people twenty thousand dollars. Not too cute and funny anymore is it punk? Look LGSOM,, the jig is up. You need to repent and try to fix what you have broken while there is time.

    Here’s a conspiracy theory for you:  several prominent members of the so-called “Truth Movement” — an Orwellian term if ever there was one — are actually Russian assets.   One of their propaganda networks is Russia Today (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Controversies_and_criticisms_of_RT ), and another is We Are Change.  Not all chapters or all main players are puppets of Putin, mind you, but an alarming number of them are.   The question is:  how many are being paid by the Kremlin?

    Like that theory?  I don’t think it is a particularly good one, but I find it more plausible than 9/11 theories!
