i dont really get what the big deal is. if people want to be scientologists, let them. this just gets more people interested in them.  who cares?  fight a better fight more worthwhile, bud.

    • Mr. Coffee

Its not the Scientology detractors, its the Scientologists themselves. They believe launching frivilous lawsuit after lawsuit after someone who derides their religion, or in the case of Vince Offer (Yes, the Sham Wow guy) people who dare leave their degenerate cult deserve to have their finances drained by defending themselves against a thousand libel lawsuits, launched at once.

Thats the big deal, these cultists, inflated by their Hollywood converts attack the common man with their “fair game” policy in order to attempt to control public perception of a religion created by a Science Fiction writer. It has not worked.

Because Scientology causes harm to people.  http://www.xenu-directory.net/mirrors/www.whyaretheydead.net/  Check out this link and tell me it’s all cool.

One big deal is that an ex-$cientologist I once met- who was gay- was recruited, indoctrinated and once financially bound into the “church” was told he’d have to be un-gayed to make his way along The Bridge. He’s free from David “The Poodle” Miscavige & Company today and much clearer. Less enturbulated and all that.

It was still his decision… unfortunately.

Ask yourself why so many countries a.) have an ongoing criminal investigation of Scientology, b.) are suing or have sued scientology, or c.) have outlawed scientology outright, then do some research.

Its tempting to say “well its just one more crazy religion, why does it matter”, but the fact is it isn’t that simple.  Hasidic Judaism is a “crazy religion”.  Being Amish is a “crazy religion”.  I worship a deity that’s been off of everyone’s radar for at least a thousand years, THAT’S a “crazy religion”.  Scientology is something far more insidious and its influence in the United States is growing every year.

yeah if they gave me conditions worse then prison, bad things would happen to them. People are just too passive aggressive sometimes and forget about their divinity and that life is not worth living if its worth then death. If you don’t like it fight back its the only way out of anything abusive.  Its the dilemma presented by the 8 of swords http://www.learntarot.com/bigjpgs/swords08.jpg

what are you going on about?

    • Tuna Ghost

No you’re right, the answer is simple: stab them in the taint.  Especially if they make fun of your tarot cards.

I’m willing to grant that we all have the right to our own ‘faith’ or path…but con rackets…shell games for cash that barely even bother to hide it…don’t qualify as religions…they’re just crooks.

To bad this crappy sci-fi writer had to be the one to start a religious cult. Issac Asimov or Frank Herbert would have been a lot more interesting cult leaders…

    • SF2K01

The difference is that neither of them were in it for the money.

What a bunch of freaks – just look at that shot of the Scientologist executives… each one looks like they have a major personality defect, and would probably be peados, psychos or bankers if they weren’t scientologists. That miscavige guy looks genuinely evil. Talk about douchechills… brrrr! Keep up the good work Anon.

The “church” of $cientology is a racket, operating inside of a vile, corrupt cult.

    It’s doomed. Expect it!
