What Did the Oslo Killer Want?

OsloThe author of this document, one Anders Behring Breikviks, has confessed. Blake Hounshell writes on Foreign Policy:

I have just finished reading through what appears to be the 1,518-page manifesto and handbook of the alleged perpetrator of the worst terrorist attack in Norwegian history.

The manifesto, bylined by someone calling himself Andrew Berwick, is entitled “2083: A European Declaration of Independence” and was posted on Stormfront.org, a white supremacist website, and discovered by American blogger Kevin I. Slaughter.

In it, “Berwick” declares himself a “Justiciar Knight Commander,” a leading member of a “re-founded” Knights Templar group formed at an April 2002 meeting in London. He claims the founding group has 9 members, whom he does not name, and that three other sympathizers were not able to attend the original meeting.

“Our purpose,” the document reads, is to “seize political and military control of Western European countries and implement a cultural conservative political agenda.”

In grim, apocalyptic language, it advocates attacks on “traitors” across Europe who are supposedly enabling a Muslim takeover of the continent.

“[W]e should… not exceed (per 2010) aprox. 45 000 dead and 1 million wounded cultural Marxists/multiculturalists in Western Europe,” the author writes. “The time for dialogue is over. We gave peace a chance. The time for armed resistance has come.”

    The difference is that western culture despises this man and views him as a sick sociopath. Western culture recognizes the inherent evil and wrongness of what this guy did. In other parts of the world, however, they’d give him a freaking medal and worship him for his part in trying to uphold righteous values and build shrines to him and name streets after him. Western culture can lead to the same barbarism, but at the same time it’s much easier to recognize that barbarity for what it is. That’s the value of defending western culture.

    - Norway has endorsed Palestinian statehood
    - Norway has excluded Israeli investments.  Norway’s 450 billion euro oil-riches fund excluded two Israeli firms involved in developing settlements.  Norway’s finance ministry said this was on ethical grounds (champion!).
    - Senator Lieberman as accused Norway of promoting anti-semitism
    - Norway had also announced its plan to withdraw from Libya by Aug 1.

    False flag?  Mossad?  All pure coincidence?

    I can think of a lot of people in western culture that would be happy to give this guy a medal. And a lot of them would condemn him out loud but praise him internally. Most of those people are in the Tea Party.
    Moreover, western culture has by and large been far far more destructive and barbaric over its long history than almost all others. The ghosts of Native Americans who’s children were flailed to death against trees by the colonizers can attest to that, the ghosts of African slaves can attest to that, over 1,000,000 dead Iraqis can attest to that, the ghosts of millions of Buffalo and trillions of trees can attest to that. 
    Go back further and the victims and slaves of the Greeks and the Romans can attest to that.
    Don’t pretend your bullshit society has a monopoly on reasonability, and justice. Your entire society is sociopathic.

    Document is a HOAX! It references a FAKE group called PCCTS (the new Knights Templar or whatever). A FAKE website PCCTS dot com was loaded with fake Illuminati links and a fake terrorist attack map of the USA. It was created by QFF in the Netherlands. Some sort of Anonymous-style group who uses Masonic imagery (for fun).

    Their site is quofataferunt dot com and it is in Dutch so ya got to translate it. They have NOTHING to do with the HOAX manifesto or the terrorist attack in Oslo. Because they made the PCCTS thing last year, the media keeps calling them about it. It’s fake, it’s a hoax. Somebody took many secondary sources, tacked on the PCCTS and a bunch of other BS, made a video, and posted it either on Friday or Saturday. Contrary to MSM’s reports it was not posted before the bombing.

    This is the work of a TROLL. You’ve all been TROLLED by a HOAX. Even the MSM is reporting it as fact without doing a simple google search on PCCTS or to see that the content was copy and pasted. They even post the obviously photoshopped pictures that even Norway media said were photoshopped. How low will the MSM go? Why are they reporting a HOAX instead of you know the SEVEN other SUSPECTS ARRESTED for the shooting and bombing. They say this guy is linked to the bombing when not even Norway police have concluded that. There is no proof. People need to think for themselves, don’t just believe everything you read. Question it. Question why all this stuff is in English first of all.

    Not likely. Mossad are the masters of infiltration. They likely blended in with the campers. One of the missing campers is a New Zealand ‘citizen’ and Mossad loves New Zealand passports since they’re accepted everywhere and easy to get.     A second suspect was arrested yesterday without warning and smiled upon arrest. Today, police raided some abandoned facility and arrested six suspects who also were campers the other day. A liar reported that they were released but this is not true. They are in custody.

    When Norway has the largest terrorist attack in their history, has no suspect for the bombing (only the MSM has linked the guy to the bombing.. there is not proof he is linked to it) they aren’t going to just let six new suspects off the hook.

    There are EIGHT SUSPECTS in custody, not just Mr. Aryan Race. The Manifesto is a hoax too. Probably not by Mossad or whoever, just some random troll (see my post above or just google QFF and PCCTS)

    I don’t speak at all in favor of those who have historically been a part of the west and done horrendous acts. Historically I agree western culture has been equally barbaric, but again the difference is that western culture has moved beyond that while other cultures still have not and are stuck in a mentality that supports barbarity.The mention of the dead Iraqis is also a disconnect as that is not a cultural conflict, but a war from corrupt leaders, which is a universal problem.

    And could you tell me who these supposed “SEVEN other SUSPECTS ARRESTED for the shooting and bombing” are, that you are referring to? I have never heard about such arrests, despite following the case in the news here in Norway hour by hour since friday. Do you have a link? Breivik may have stolen large portions of the manifest from other authors, but how do you explain the intricate personal diary of the terrorist in the last part of the document, containing details closely corresponding with established facts about him? Some excerpts:

    I normally agree with your posts, but I’m siding with Monkey’s uncle on this one.  You need to test your theory in a microcosm of sorts.  You can have regions in which other cultures are dominant.  Perhaps “white people” have achieved forms of domination on a global scale, but consider an environment in which a white person is in the minority.  Other cultures can (will and do) formulate false presuppositions/assumptions and manifest those collective thoughts into oppressive actions.  If these assumptions involve color of skin and/or negative stereotypes related to culture, I believe it is fair to characterize the actions as racist and prejudiced.

    On another note, perhaps more what you mean to say is that white oppression against other races on a global scale is an evident trend, which because of its enormous scope and intense cruelty, supersedes discussion of other types of oppression and partly justifies an eye for an eye approach, even if brought up in jest.  I don’t believe that you are racist, and I thought your comment was funny, but blanketing the white race as sole proprietors of the beast that is racism is to only consider racism as a valid idea if it is viewed through a global lens, for lack of a better analogy.

    It isn’t to say that people of the fairer complexions cannot be put in the “other” or “oppressed” position. but rather historically: “white” people are NOT homogeneous, and in fact lead the way when it comes to global imperialism and domination of non-whites, so if we use this historical lens, it becomes obvious you cannot be reverse racist against “white people.” Particularly not in an american context. Can you be reactionary and culturally nationalist/protectionist- yes! are there historical reasons for that? yes!

    I think the problem here is that you interpreted my posts to mean a wholesale denial that other cultures cannot be racist (and in  that only “white” people are). That is simply not the case. Many cultures (modern nation states) have highly xenophobic and racist qualities. , if they are in the dominant culture position and are thus abusing that position by oppressing the “other” that is racism. plain and simple.

    HOWEVER in a north american context the dominant culture is a sort of dysfunctional amalgam of liberal, democratic, euro-centric, capitalist, consumer-culture. In that the frame of the debate is totally and utterly derived from a euro-centric worldview. Literally thousands of historical examples of euro-colonialists/americans/canadians abusing their position as the dominant culture against anyone not lily white. Even against other europeans like the irish or the slavs. In this way, white people, whatever that means, are the dominant cultural group and thus to be reactionary against that- is part of what is sometimes called a “de-colonialising” movement.

    I just think Monkey is some white protectionist, that obfuscates his intentions through a co-option of anti-racism, and verbose post-modern (and misused) language that serves no one but his own agenda.

    i think you’ll find that there’s less doric speaking scots left, than any other tribe nation or cultural group on the planet yes i’m white but my cultures so diluted that i’m probably the last generation of doric speaking folk, but thats what religeon,slavery,opretion,and western geographic politics has done to a proud and ancient culture i’m the ethnic minority here!and you have the nerve to call me racist.

    And while doric speakers may be on the decline, i know scots is widely taught in education.
    And no they are not the smallest ethno-linguistic group on the planet (1.5 million according to scottish parliament speak “scots.”) that is a pretty ridiculous statement given that there are tribal minorities with less than 1000 members.

    If you want to talk about ancient history, i will concede i am no celtic studies scholar; however scots invaded scotland from scandinavia. displacing pictish and gaelic cultures whom already existed there.

    so perhaps scottish culture is a hybrid with gaelic, scot and british elements.

    and my reference was specifically in a north american context, although a similar framework can be applied to europe, N. american culture (as it is) is something i can speak to and know about first hand and academically. So while perhaps that may not be applicable to you specifically, it is applicable to western culture generally.

    at the risk of restarting what i find to be a ridiculous debate i must agree with Tuna’s very well articulated point that  racism= prejudice+power (derived from being the dominant culture). obviously i failed to succinctly summarise this very important distinction between prejudice and racism.

You have never posted on dis-info before, yet you come here to post ad-hominem attacks, assert the existance of profound reverse-racism, and use in-eloquent poesie to attempt to  diffuse a legimate and very real critique i had about your comment. Why this issue? Why is the assertion of reverse racism your raison d’etre? there can only be one reason: white nationalism. it is the only truth that fits. you may have an alternative opinion of yourself, but a tree’s shadow is still a tree. Whsy on THIS article- all about a white nationalist terrorist? And your example of being “white” in the ghetto, was frankly insulting. Ghettoisation of african-americans is symptomatic of institutional and historical racism d instituted by white america. My reply was tongue-in-cheek, in order to assess your response. Which btw is not an example of racism. Perhaps discontent and prejudice, but not racism. as racism is oppressive anrd prevelant in all social interactions (and as i stated before institutional). to paraphrase my very clever fellow poster Tuna Ghost,”Racism= prejudice +privilege +power.” that is not my definition that is THE definitive denotation used by academia.     Miss information. I don’t think so. This cold bloody killer knew what he wanted to do. He had the chance to do what he did due to the fact of poor Police Force in Norway, which was not ready to take on any kind of terrorist threat in Norway.
