Hey, there’s nothing more American than flat-out land-grabbing.

oh mean like the now-defunct bank did to the previous homeowner?

i have barrels of issues with the concept of ‘private’ property, but this guy is a genius and i hope he gets the house.

good. at least someone should live there, rather than it sit empty with grey legal ownership.
I would think the neighbors would be more concerned with vacant houses depreciating their property values, than someone (a civilian) who very cleverly found a legal loophole to live in the house.

i think it’s obvious why the neighbors dislike him- and part of me would LIKE to believe they’re jealous he’s smarter than them, but i don’t think that’s exactly why….

this is what all people without residence should do. if the houses exist, let’s not at least waste the resources it took to build them.

Yeah, I one could say the neighbors were being racist (it is Texas, after all), but quite frankly, they were just pissed that they didn’t think of his idea first.

Racist pigs make me sick. This man clearly understands the process involved, while the white americans living around him try to have him arrested and removed based on their own prejudices.

  10. If they have problems with the law, take it up with the government.  This man is smart enough to take it over, good for him.

  12. Why can’t these fucks just be happy for that guy.  It’s not his fault those people were stupid enough to take out giant mortgages they have to pay the rest of their live’s. They should learn from him.

If they want him out, they have a pretty simple solution: they can come up with the money to pay off the mortgage, just like they want him to do.

But yeah, it sounds to me like they have some sort of personal issue with this individual. I can only imagine what it is.

  26. A shining example of the death of EARNING nice things.  If he would’ve put as much effort into other aspects of his life as he did into trying to screw the system, maybe his new home would have electricity and running water too…  But I guess smoking crack and reading mortgage law was more important than school or a steady job.    Now try not to get kicked out bc of poor maintenance or not paying taxes which I have a feeling both are gonna be very difficult for a homeless crackhead even with plenty of time on his hands.

he didn’t screw the system– the banks screwed us all– he just picked up the pieces and put them back together to his own advantage.

      feeeeel the hate.

Ya know, no one wants to talk about the equity the previous owner had in the house that is foregone bc some BUM’s goal in life is to get something for free.

You can praise the guy, but what about the family that had to leave!?  They did what they were supposed to do and prob came upon some hard times like most as of late (guy prob lost a good job).
And if you think the guy is smart… well then take a course from him.  Otherwise he’s just a bum with nothing but time looking for a handout.

Enjoy it while it last, Cracky…

umm– what di you not get about the house being empty with unclear title issues?

if you want to get pissed for the family that was bumrushed out, look to the Wall Street scamachine– this guy worked the bank– NOT the prior mortgagor– who actually owned nothing and effectively just paid rent.
