Glenn Beck Farewell Supercut

In commemoration of Glenn Beck’s departure from the Fox News airwaves this week, Media Matters has compiled his top moments and catchphrases (which include, “Hello America!”; “I hope I’m wrong”; “the country’s on fire”; and, most disturbingly, “lemme get the frogs”) into fifteen straight minutes of hucksterism and insanity. In all honesty, if I’d known his show was this entertaining, I would have watched.

Glenn Beck was about 60 years too late to be taken seriously.

I remember watching him on CNN’s Headline News back in the day.  He was connecting the dots of Armageddon then.  For the last few years, he’s been content to prognosticate on a more earthly, social collapse.

He was a genius–in a P.T. Barnum sort of way.  He’s also a human colostomy bag.

Will miss you Glenn, although you were a tad overzealous, you spoke on issues the rest of the “mainstream media” wouldn’t cover. Your program’s format was brilliant and you built a massive following. Shame the lefties did you dirty, but hey that’s the price you gotta pay for having an alternative viewpoint. Regardless of how right or wrong this man was, the way he was treated in the media was undeserved and shameful in the name of free speech and the right to share one’s own opinions

Fox didn’t fire him. media matters (read: left) has devoted an obscene amount of time, energy, and money to silence conservative media. Glenn has stated himself that Fox News has lost credibility amongst many in the country, particularly the youth. That is why he chose to leave the television program for the internet where he will have a TWO hour daily show.

Gee, I wonder why Fox News has lost credibility amongst viewers in the U.S. including the young: could it be that there is nothing really conservative about the extremist views so espoused by Glenn Beck, or for that matter, Fox News?

I’ve tried several times to watch Glen Beck. If for no other reason, than to know what the enemy is up to. Invariably, his extreme theatrics and obvious propaganda were too much to bear. I know that some conservatives will want to say to me that the truth hurts. Well, it wasn’t the truth that hurt or that stopped me from watching. It was his incessant prevarication, his ridiculous conservative propaganda and the extreme nausea that those brought on that prevented me from finishing an episode of his mediocre sitcom.

People who hate Glenn Beck really hate who he speaks to, mainly white working families, whom the left hates more then any other group of people. While I can’t relate to his X-tian values, and I hate that he kisses Israels ass, he has been far more effective at organizing and motivating people then a million collectives of bicycle riding vegan white guilt ridden leftists. The left speaks of “the people” but they only mean guilty rich white people and the token non-whites they hold up as trophies of their enlightened diversity. Beck actually speaks to the people, you know the guy with 2 kids working 50 hours a week who keeps a failing system afloat just enough so you can dumpster diveve stale bagles and feel subversive.

Whats sad is that it will be a failed effort. This country is too far gone to save.

    • Working families, white or black, are literally the core of the Democratic Party, you moron, and have been since the 1940’s — the LAST time we saved them from a bunch of Republican idiots (Coolidge and Hoover) who tanked the economy.

The Republican Party is busy destroying the middle class, trying to take away their health care, making people homeless, bashing teachers cops and firefighters, and decimating ordinary people’s right to collectively bargain and defend themselves against fat cat corporations. Insanely profitable corporations to whom they are willing to give a tax cut to, rather than defend the Constitutional provision that requires them to maintain the full faith and credit of the United States. Moreover, Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert have been more effective at organizing people, nitwit. Stewart and Colbert’s rally was bigger than Glenn “Lonesome Roads” Beck’s cluster of ignorant hicks who got suckered by him.

It’s funny that you think that the “american left” is anything like real leftists that actually are out there and represent actual people. They are just generally in other countries, and the US pays big bucks for mercenaries and fascist regimes to assassinate them.

  22. The sad part is this douche is still on the radio, where he actually reaches more vulnerable minds with his bullsh!te.

Hey, at least Alex Jones has the decency to keep his craziness on alternative radio.

In all honesty, if I’d known his show was this entertaining, I would have watched.

I always thought that was where his massive ratings came from: a bunch of people tuning in to watch a train wreck.
