Elite Reptilian Overlords Like Eating Our Brains Cold

VTitle taken from the lyrics to Thee Aeon Falls (which makes a nice soundtrack for the following …)

The idea of reptilian aliens that rule the planet is of course on its face patently absurd, yet it is a myth that has driven a wide range of fictional media (V, Sitchen’s various novels, etc), as well as a surprising number of people who believe it quite literally, especially those that buy Icke’s implicitly anti-semitic model of reptilian aliens.

As I said in the Immanence of Myth:

Zecharia Sitchin has written several books about the “true” origin of Sumerian mythology: aliens. This, or the mythology of planet Niburu, is a wonderful modernization of ancient mythic elements, but considered as empirical fact, one may as well buy into the hollow Earth theory. The author David Icke takes it a step further: aliens, or reptilians, exist in the world today and control the world economy. Though there is some truth to the argument from ignorance “the absence of evidence is not the evidence of absence,” that doesn’t mean either of these scenarios are even remotely likely in a factual or historic sense…

So let’s look a little deeper at this as a myth, and at some of the ideas that exist in what we might call the connective tissue of these ideas. Reptilians are of course cold-blooded, and they do not nurture their young. If you’ve ever spent time with a lizard or bird, you can get a sense of the consciousness at work behind their similarly cold eyes. It calculates, it measures, it ponders and waits, and most of what it is contemplating is food and danger. So too with mammals, but there is something uniquely … reptilian … about the way that a lizard does it, isn’t there?

Studies have shown, interestingly enough, that empathy is a trait that gets reduced in the wealthy classes. One can only imagine that in the top 1%, many of them must have a downright reptilian disposition. It isn’t much of a stretch. They don’t need to originate from a far off planet X on some massive elliptical orbit: the worst atrocities humans have suffered have been, with the exception of plagues and natural disasters, at the hands of other humans. There is something especially awful about these cruelties, because they could have been averted.

What kind of cold-bloodedness does it take to order the genocide of millions, as has happened time and again throughout history, often for no crime other than having the misfortune of being born in a politically unfavorable spot. That such genocides are often carried out by obedient proles, by the lower classes themselves, that the lower classes often tear themselves apart, and burn their own homes when they riot, is a further bewildering horror – but all of it begins with the reptilians, the cold snake eye that feels no need for mother’s breast, for warm companionship or compassion. It kills, hunts, and grows without those feelings, such that we are all more than a little surprised when we discover that the coldest of butchers loved puppies, or enjoyed playing with children.

This leads us to an associated issue, of the personal psychology of the tyrant. Do they differ between different political and social systems? It would seem at first that the obvious answer would be yes. In the theoretical extremes of free market capitalism and communism, the flaw of the former is an over-emphasis on the individual to the point that it produces cold, unempathic, self obsessed people that are fixated on consumption, whereas communism produces a lack of personal freedom, and de-motivated, inherently socially repressed individuals without any sense of self-worth.

But that doesn’t seem to play out at the top levels. It would seem that the top 1% remain the same in many ways the world over. A look at the homes of communist dictators shows that there are some inherent psychological necessities that supersede this dichotomy of cultural structure — they look more or less the same, barring cultural differences, as the palaces of their capitalist or even monarchist counterparts.

Perhaps they are reptilians after all …

A friend of mine recently gave me his take on the reptilians and global warming:
they can’t be doing this climate destruction just for money,
    that would be crazy;
they must be doing it to make the environment more suitable for reptiles.

Though I find the reptilian theory implausible,
I nonetheless find his explanation more plausible than any other I’ve heard.

Well, I like to refer to global warming deniers as Venusians, because of the hypothetical implications of a truly runaway greenhouse effect. Which would possibly turn the earth into a state resembling Venus. So they are basically venusians trying to veniform the earth for their habitation. That’s the joke anyway.

What I were to say that global warming isn’t man made, that in fact it’s a cyclical thing and 8K yrs ago we were warmer, temperature rise is driven by the output of the sun – duh.  The very sun that keeps us alive and comfortably above absolute zero.  What if I were to show you that Iceland ice cores show that CO2 rise follows temperature rise by 800 years.  There are big bucks to be made by influential people who skew data deliberately to pad their pockets.  The sad thing is ignorant politicians don’t have the brains to understand simple science so they sway in the wind and line their pockets at every opportunity.  We are lead by the least among us!  http://www.friendsofscience.org/

Hmm… that’s interesting… but I guess not really all that surprising:  among the wealthy are a disproportionate number of narcissists (e.g. politicians are probably mostly sub-clinical narcissists, as are a lot of lawyers I’ve met) and individuals high on the autism spectrum (e.g. programmers and Silicon Valley types).

It’s worth point out, however, that empathy is not a “scalar” quantity, but is more like a “vector”; it is multidimensional.  For example, high-functioning autistics have trouble discerning emotions based on facial expressions, but when told what the other person is feeling they have the capacity to empathize and to feel it too.

        • Yith

Slavery is actually a really good example of how a whole society can have an empathy deficit for a prolonged period of time; and furthermore, it isn’t just something created by a heartless elite — a lot of it comes down to tribalism.

People speak about how wonderful tribal life is.  And it IS good for members of the tribe, who benefit from the protection and shared resources; but woe to the outsider!

A slightly looser structure than a tribe is a `community’, and some of the negative aspects of tribes can also be seen in areas with strong community bonds.  Furthermore, the act of “strengthening community” can magnify these (e.g. suspicion of outsiders, reduced empathy to outsiders), while providing little additional benefit to the community’s members.  See the following:

Its an ebb and flow, people restrict empathy to strengthen their cultural bonds and define themselves. In time empathy returns, and the cultural arbiters fight to retain the “purity” of their culture at any cost, eventually they lose out, and the culture is lost or swept under the rug. Eventually people are demoralized by a lack of unity and culture, so they begin to define themselves again, suspect outsiders and the cycle starts again.

I realize you don’t agree with David Icke. However, posting falsified propaganda about him is not a credible tactic. Icke has some valid solid points, and he points out that many subjects he covers are in the realm of belief or hearsay as well. He does not deny this fact and furthermore he goes out of his way to encourage his readers to create their own conclusions. No, assertions about reptilian shape-shifters are not scientific, but they are surely not inherently anti-Semitic. This is what David Icke has to say, “The movement created by the Rothschilds to lay false claim to the land we call Israel or Palestine is known as Zionism. This term is often used as a synonym for Jewish people when it is actually a political movement devised, funded, and promoted through the House of Rothschild and opposed by many Jews. The most visible Zionist front in the United States today are the so-called ‘Neoconservatives’ or ‘Neocons’, who were behind 9/11 and the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq.” P .145-146 of “The David Icke Guide to the Global Conspiracy (and how to end it). “   Nowhere in his writings was he ever anti-Semitic, and if the people who denounce him, would actually research what he says, they would find that he consistently denounces racism, and every other ism that exists.

I was speaking with a friend of Laurence Gardner, another controversial thinker, who related the fact that when Laurence was very ill at the end of his life he had to deal with being harassed by folks who believed what David Icke had printed about him regarding sacrificing babies and Luciferian breeding programs. It made his last days much more hellish than they needed to be.

Reading this stuff and discussing it, there is the tendency to forget that there are actual people involved, some of whom may not be guilty. Unfortunately Icke’s work, being as subjective as it is, doesn’t help any of us approach the real issues we’re facing in the world.

The only weakness of “conspiracy theory” that I see is that it is ultimately, undeservedly flattering.

If the world’s problems are caused by conspiracies of vile reptilian overlords, learned elders of Zion controlling the media, Satanist businessmen sacrificing babies at Bohemian Grove…and G-d help us, the sinister agenda of the GIRL SCOUTS…! Well, while horrible and scary, at least there is some sense to things, no?

On the other hand, if it’s just greed and stupidity aided by apathy… What a f— up mankind is…

Conspiracy Theories are wonderful in that be the ghost grave or gravy, they put back the fire in things, make them “good versus Evil” again. Trailer Joe might secretly envy the billionaire that sent the manufacturing job overseas, then snuck through the local zoning/health laws that wrecked his “micro brew” project before it got off the ground, since thanks to listening to Roosh he thinks he can become rich someday, but turn it into an evil reptile that does its deeds as much as to feed off his pain as to profit that he’ll never be more than a slave to…

David Icke is stepping on his own credibility by interjecting his reptile theory into the same converstions that have other perfectly quantifiable points. There are plenty of things that are unknown and if you view things from a scientific standpoint, you can’t simply dismiss the reptile theory without proof.  The trouble is in this society you can have all the valid points in the world but they will be ignored or dismissed when you begin to go off on a tangent about an unproven and difficult to believe concept. The reptile has already been let out of the bag by Icke and it will be difficult to get it back in there for enough people to take his valid points seriously. It’s all just a bit too much.

The original idea of the reptilian mind come from early attempts at social philosophy, where various types of human behavioural patterns were likened to various types of animals.
The reptilian mind, was of course that of the psychopath, those humans devoid of the genetic trait of autonomic empathic response and missing any semblance of conscience.
This of course ends up being distorted over time to an alien species. This might not be to far from the truth, the psychopath could definitely be considered a sub-species of homosapiens due to the nature of the genetic trait making them in many ways no longer human.
Fortunately this difference is readily measurable as their brain wave reactions to stimuli meant to generate an emotional response and subsequent  control of that emotional response are lacking.
Whilst psychopaths are thought of as being very smart, one has to keep in mind, their lack of emotions, of deriving joy from caring and sharing or being able to feel happiness, leaves their lives empty and the basically fill that emptiness with endless psychopathic scheming and plotting.
How to get ahead, how to manipulate and control, how to deceive and how to get revenge for any slight or frustrations. A constant waking state of scheming devious duplicitous thoughts, no matter what else they are doing, especially when looking you in the eye and with smiling friendly charm, plotting how best to exploit you and if possible kill you.
