How To Build The Great Pyramid

Many myths of how the Great Pyramid of Giza was built include help from extraterrestrial visitors, elaborate ramps and crane machines. Still is remains a mystery. French architect Jean-Pierre Houdin has used a 3D modeling software to explain his theory that suggests “that a ramp was indeed used to raise the blocks to the top, and that the ramp still exists—inside the pyramid!” Bob Brier writes in Archeology:

Of the seven wonders of the ancient world, only the Great Pyramid of Giza remains. An estimated 2 million stone blocks weighing an average of 2.5 tons went into its construction. When completed, the 481-foot-tall pyramid was the world’s tallest structure, a record it held for more than 3,800 years, when England’s Lincoln Cathedral surpassed it by a mere 44 feet.

We know who built the Great Pyramid: the pharaoh Khufu, who ruled Egypt about 2547-2524 B.C. And we know who supervised its construction: Khufu’s brother, Hemienu. The pharaoh’s right-hand man, Hemienu was “overseer of all construction projects of the king” and his tomb is one of the largest in a cemetery adjacent to the pyramid.

What we don’t know is exactly how it was built, a question that has been debated for millennia. The earliest recorded theory was put forward by the Greek historian Herodotus, who visited Egypt around 450 B.C., when the pyramid was already 2,000 years old. He mentions “machines” used to raise the blocks and this is usually taken to mean cranes.

I saw a National Geographic piece about this theory. It sounds ingenious. Instead of having a ramp that is on the outside where you push blocks in, just have a ramp in the middle where you push them in or out. They even showed a plausible method of getting the blocks around a 90 degree corner. Instead of turning the block, since most are square or rectangle, just stop at the corner and start pulling from the other side.

seems like every few years we finally figure out how the pyramids or Stonehenge were built but without proof they are just as much speculation as the ufo theory

Sounds great, but it does not address the issue of where the actual building material came from, or the fact that if we are to accept that it was indeed built within the 20 year-timespan it would have required one of those perfectly polished giant stones to be carved out every 9 seconds.

not to mention the various “special” beams that are like 20tons… and all of it which was supposed to be cut using bronze saws with sand in between the teeth…. that’s right people, the bronze age…. you gotta be fuckin kidding me, lol.

Everyone knows that the aliens who built it used wooly mammoths to pull the stones up mile long ramps made of sand.

“We know who built the Great Pyramid: the pharaoh Khufu, who ruled Egypt about 2547-2524 B.C.” – Bob Brier.

As far as i know stone cannot be carbon dated. Most of the pyramids dates have been recorded from grafitti and hieroglyphs inside and near the pyramid.
This could have easily been done long after the pyramids initial construction. The Sphynx also has soil erosion markings that geologists have dated at around 7,000 bc, yet archeologists seem pretty certain it was built in 2500 bc, with no real good evidence. The only evidence being that ‘these new dates would upset our understanding of the origins of civilzation’.

Theres no conspiracy to cover up when the Pyramids were built. Unless we’re following mandates from a 5,000 year old King, theres no reason for one.
