NY Vintner Produces 9/11 Memorial Wines

How will you commemorate September 11 this year? You could buy 9/11 wine for $9.11 or a bottle of 9/11 Memorial wine. Each bottle bought is a donation towards supporting families and organizations still recovering from the 9/11 attacks. Via NY Daily News:

    They are donating 500 cases of wine to support a charity. So, a small winery on Long Island donating its profits to support an organization that helps victims of a national tragedy (and considering their proximity could be personally affected) is ridiculous…. but texting “help” to 58544 during the super bowl to send 10 dollars to Haiti is the norm? Which one is the labor of love and which one is purchasing the feeling of a good deed?

    Also, I’ve seen a lot of tacky bumpy stickers revolving around 9/11 in much poorer taste than this… and none of them had a toasty vanilla finish.

    In my neighborhood hookers are offering blow jobs for only $9.11, all the money goes to help children who have been affect by the shitty economy since 9/11.

    9/11 is an emotional buzz word. Using it to sell wine seems only logical less your emotions. Now as far as emotions go, one only needs to “follow the money” for a veracious conviction. Who does it go to SPECIFICALLY, what are the charity’s stipulations, legal obligations, tax obligations, and so forth. Once I find that out, I’ll concoct a legitimate conclusion in regards to MY “emotions” and “9/11 Memorial Wines.” Then perhaps, given the outcome of my inquisition, I will purchase a bottle and get rightfully fucked up.
