Massacre ‘Tea Party Zombies’ Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity and Bill O’Reilly

Thanks to Stephen Gutkowski of the Media Research Center for alerting us to this interesting new game:

Have you ever fantasized about beating Bill O’Reilly to death with a crowbar or shooting up the offices of Americans for Prosperity with an Uzi? Well, the folks at StarvingEyes Advergaming apparently have and they’d like to share their latest creation with the world. The game is called “Tea Party Zombies Must Die” and, apart from abysmal game play, features several different levels where your only objective is to mercilessly slaughter everyone around you whether they are a Fox News stars or simply Americans For Prosperity employees…

Nothing better in the world than literally demonizing your ideological opponents… except then slaying said demons.  That’s pretty sweet, too.

Right because wanting to slay proto fascists is totally wrong.
Let’s get this straight people, these right wingers are waging war against this country and its people for the benefit of the plutarchs and large scale property owners, they may not be using violence at this point, but they are waging war by other means.

      • FindingBalance

Get your head out of your ass…there are “proto fascists” on both sides of the fence. And this video game is just as inflammatory and inappropriate as Sarah Palin’s map that was covered with targets. The same standards and consequences must be applied to those on both sides of the fence at all times if we ever hope to achieve any sort of legitimate and lasting balance.

        • MasoMystic

Thank you finding balance. I cant believe there are still morons who think we have a 2 party system. That one party is better then the other. That one party has our best of interest at heart while the other does not.
          Complete and utter stupidity.
Our society as a whole is sick and twisted. no need of divide and conquer anymore. Let us all take responsibility for what is happening, not blaming them on the politicians because they are only doing what we allow them to do and as long as we sit on our fat asses and let them to continue to destroy our society we have NO ONE to blame but OURSELVES, not a political party.

Idiots..each and everyone of us should take a long look in the mirror to see that we are part of the problem and stop fucking blaming other people that only do things because we allow them to do it..

Wake the fuck up america your time is running short and soon you ignorant overweight fucks will be finding yourselfs in the middle of shitcreek without a paddle..

Er, except that was Sarah Palin’s own campaign putting liberal politicians in metaphorical crosshairs. As far as I can tell, this is an unconnected game developer putting hateful political pundits in metaphorical crosshairs. Yes, I just called Palin a hateful political pundit.

Making a game where you kill zombies who look like famous Republicans is still quite different from actually killing people. It’s pretty obvious who sees the use of force as their main tool. Obviously there’s liberals who are violent but they’re a lot of less common than violent conservatives. The last time I checked, right wing terrorists were the people blowing up abortion clinics and trying to kill liberals not the other way around. Most left wing terrorist attacks come in the form of environmentalist attacks, like spiking trees, burning hummer car lots, and freeing animals. I’d say that’s a far cry from blowing up the Oklahoma Federal building and killing abortion doctors. Let’s not forget these attacks as well were by “compassionate” conservatives:

-Gordon Kahl, member of right wing terrorist group who killed two federal marshals.

-The shooting at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum that killed one person and injured two more.

-Bryon Williams, incensed by false conspiracies from Glenn Beck,
aimed to murder 11 employees of the ALCU of Northern California and
Tides Foundation but was stopped by the police after a 12 minute gun
      battle.

-The Shooting of the Knoxville Unitarian Universalist church by a right wing extremist who “wanted to kill liberals and democrats”, he killed two people and injured another two.

-Geroge Ortez killed a police deputy in Chambers County because he was worried that big government was coming for his guns.

Let’s keep one thing clear here: it has been proven that video games DO NOT cause or inspire violence. To allege that video games cause violence is to argue that the Columbine High School shooting in Colorado was absolutely caused by playing “Doom” because the shooters Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris thought they were playing a special real-life mod. Sometimes a video game is just a fucking video game, Sigmund Freud.

I can’t get behind this.  Fantasy violence against real liars isn’t going to help anything.  Although, I confess, a dark, shameful part of me has wanted to kick Rick Santorum in the nuts ever since I read in his book that working-class families shouldn’t be two-income households, but should cut down on expenses so that the mother can stay home to raise the kids.

    • Silentmajority Sal

Wow, Gutterstar69, What an old-fashioned concept! Mothers staying home and caring for their kids… teaching them not to steal, not to cheat, not to drop their babies in dumpsters. I hope I didn’t ruin their lives. But, wait, they turned out great. Must have been their father’s influence. (Yes, they had a father who was there every night.)

Hope YOUR mother reads YOUR post and bawls you out for slandering and shaming her.

sorry, no. I lean way left, but I find this extremely problematic. put the shoe on the other foot; if this was a game put out by Fox news where you could kill zombie liberal stars and pundits, the outcry and response would be enormous. Remember all the hullabaloo about the “targets” painted over liberal political districts on that Palin map? we don’t need to stoop to this. I also don’t think this will incite real violence, it is the metaphorical message that is portrayed that is the problem.

‘Tea Party Zombies’: A Fair and Balanced Review

“Tea Party Zombies” is a rudimentary FPS with
three stages, each with three levels of zombies and three bosses to fight
off with pistols, shotguns, rifles, crowbars, machetes, and axes. Now, I understand that some people see this game as a tad repugnant from watching the video preview as “Tea Party Zombies” depicts prominent conservatives and Republicans from the mainstream media as zombies that must be shot, but try to understand, for one, that this is a video game, and also that the zombies in the video game are caricatures and stereotypes animated in Flash. Furthermore, there is a double irony going on in “Tea Party Zombies”: on the one hand, conservatives support gun ownership, so would they not agree with the overall premise of this game, which involves shooting zombies with guns? And isn’t it also interesting that this game is aimed at liberals and Democrats, who allegedly oppose gun ownership? I guess I just find it kind of odd in a post-Grand Theft Auto 3 world the reaction some people are having to a simple game like this.

However that’s not to say this game shouldn’t be criticized. In fact, what I find distasteful about this game is its control scheme. Anyone who is familiar with first-person shooters on the PC is familiar with the WASD-mouse combo, a control scheme that is just plain standard. What this game uses for controls is makeshift and mediocre: for movement, the arrow keys are used and the Z,X, and C keys are used for attack, reload, and weapon swapping. While this scheme is workable, at least for the first two stages, when it comes to the Fox News stage and the boss fights, the inability to strafe very much detracts from this game’s experience, what with the fact that the Fox News stage is rather cramped and running back and forth during the boss fights is something you would expect from an early Resident Evil game. I know that this “Tea Party Zombies” is an FPS programmed in flash, but I’ve played games like this that utilized the WASD-mouse combo, and that’s something which would have given “Tea Party Zombies” a lot more playability.

All in all, I give “Tea Party Zombies” an “A” for creativity, but a “C” for lackluster controls. For a game that keeps a tally of zombies, it’s also a shame there is no scoreboard for it. While I understand why people would disdain the fantasy of killing real people as zombies, I still say this game is for non-violent than planning a real assassination of Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachmann, Rick Santorum or Newt Gingrich from, say, a book despository. And if I had to score this game, I would give it six points out of ten, and that’s arguably a more fair and balanced score than Fox news would give.

This seems a bit ridiculous, doesn’t it? I mean, do we really want votes to be won through video games? If you ask me the fact that liberals must stoop to this just goes to show the fact that so many of their votes are achieved only through the brainwashing of younger voters. As a young republican in college I cannot tell you how many people I know who are democrats because “republicans are stupid.” I feel that for every gun toting redneck republican there are just as many under educated democrats. While I consider myself a republican I would not hesitate to vote democrat or green party or any other party who had the same views as I did.
Additionally, this game makes no sense. Aren’t republicans the ones who support the second amendment?

I don’t know jack about the developer, but I’m pretty sure this game was not commissioned by the progressive establishment. Again, I may be wrong, but I think you are assigning motive where there is none. If they could make more money with a liberal zombies game I’m sure that’s what we’d be talking about right now. And I’d probably be railing against it, *sigh*. Never mind, carry on.

Sounds like a funny game, just wish it was bi-partisan. Don’t mind Republican zombies but think it should have been all kind of celebrity zombies. Zombie Obama would have been cool. So would zombie George Bush, etc. Can’t we all just get along and kill zombies together?

So this is what holmes was talking about, I was confused. Not really my cup of tea, but turnabout is fair play, what with all the crosshairs and reload tedium. Not to mention dead liberal jokes all over the ‘sphere, all in good fun of course. Oh, and the sinister, creeping enemies of humanity motif fits like a glove. Heads will explode I’m sure.
