Peaceful Protesters Penned And Maced

The Occupy Wall St. site has footage of the disturbing pattern of police abuse from the protests near New York City’s Wall Street and Union Square, including this example of police entrapping female protesters in orange netting and macing them:

As I said before, Americans need to do to Wall Street what the French did to the Bastille Prison.

I think they have that in some southern states… the “He Needed Killin“
      law.

  17. I think what the police did was wrong but I wanna see the footage before this why were they being penned in and what was going on. But overall wall street should be shut down these people protesting peaceful will accomplish nothing expect watching these people take more of their money and jobs because they aren’t working.

  19. “The Guardian has learned that the officer, named by activists as deputy inspector Anthony Bologna,
stands accused of false arrest and civil rights violations in a claim brought by a protester involved in the 2004 demonstrations at the Republican national convention.” http://x2t.com/TonyBaloney

Who is writing this show anyway? The mace cop’s name is Tony Baloney (Anthony Bologna) and not surprisingly, it’s not his first appearance in the show. In the 2004 season he also played the part of Tony Baloney, an abusive cop harassing protestors. The NYPD is thinking of expanding his role and making him a regular in the 2011-2012 season.

If things go well enough he could get his own series: Tony Baloney, NYPD
