Perfume Pills Will Make Sweat Smell Pleasant

swallowable-parfum-lucy-mcrae_1The future of perfume will be taking a pill that turns your sweat into golden droplets emanating the pleasant smell of your choice. Body odor will no longer be a bad thing. For instance, you’ll find yourself saying, “Did someone just take a fresh batch of chocolate chip cookies out of the oven? Oh, it must just be Michael’s armpits.” Via GreenMuze:

No more spritzing, spraying or dabbing, now you can start you day with confidence knowing that all you need to do is swallow a simple digestible perfume capsule to smell great all day. The Swallowable Perfume, created by renowned Australian artist Lucy McRae, in conjunction with Harvard University biologist Sheref Mansy.

“Once absorbed, the capsule enables the skin to become a platform, an atomizer, a biologically enhanced second skin synthesized directly from the natural processes of the body,” explains the artist’s website. “Fragrance molecules are excreted through the skin’s surface during perspiration, leaving tiny golden droplets on the skin that emanate a unique odor.”

The strength of the scent is determined by varying factors including an individual’s ability to acclimatization to temperatures, reactions to stress, exercise, and sexual arousal.

  • Jin The Ninja

This is probably an overshare for those who frequent this site, but here goes:

I do NOT wear cologne (what ninja would right?!?!), none of that cancer causing chemical laden store bough sh*t, and let me tell you once you STOP wearing it  (as a one time twink i used to bathe in it) you realise how AWFUL it truly smells. I mean awful. Walking behind some dude who just put on what seems like half the bottle nearly knocks me out- gagging tears, and i am not known for being overly melodramatic. If you are unaccustomed to it, you pick up all the chemical notes and the musk. It stops being a complete scent- just hits of the worst notes. Women’s perfume admittedly still smells somewhat nice to me (mostly) if overpowering….

About 2-3 years ago, i began buying essential oils (organic, fair trade chemically pure), and using them medicinally and for aromatherapy. I began blending my own scents (relatively basic 3 or 4 note scents), and  even at my height of cologne wearing twinkdom , i never recieved as many compliments/questions as i do now. admittedly the crowd who asks me is much more “earthy” and holistic-minded than before, but still. You cannot perfectly emulate the bottled stuff but you can blend really interesting smells and customise them. As a side note, you CANNOT blend a scent the even comes close to the “aveda scent” (and i’ve tried a dozen times) using EOs ( i used the recipe that is listed on the aveda site).

Just thinking about going back to wearing (or worse yet) internally taking a perfumed scent made from civet musk, scent molecules, petro-chems, and probably worse- seems like a terrible idea. the one interesting thing is that you would get a custom scent from the PH interactions- but cancer vs custom scent..well that is sort of obvious.
