I’m loving the coverage not filled with sardonic, dismissive, or hostile sentiment (*cough* just about every major news outlet).

It gives me a sense of hope and pride to see people doing things just because they need to be done, it destroys whatever pessimism I have concerning the human race.

    A suggestion, though?

Perhaps get a megaphone for when people want to speak. From all the coverage, the waves of repetitious voices just seems, I don’t know, taxing, or inefficient (can’t really think of the proper word at the moment).

I think the people are much more enjoying the communal yelling. Besides, You cant exactly fill the noise with bias or bullshit, because if Alex Jones starts yelling crap, they’ll just stop yelling with him. A megaphone, anyone can fill the noise space.

      This is no Empty Cause.

his mates couldn’t define what he meant
so no one gave them the time of day
      and the scene died away”

        A fair point.

If it’s working, and people are enjoying it, then more power to them. I was only speaking as an observer, and I know my throat would become sore after too much of that.

Me and my wife have been down to the protest a few times. They do need a megaphone, because it takes 30 minutes just to say a sentence.  Most people get very bored and tired with the repeating things 4 times. People in the back can barely hear because they are constantly drumming, even when the general assembly asked them to stop drumming it did’t work they couldn’t hear, or refused to stop.  There are to many mixed messages going on there as well.  You will have one person holding a sign up saying, “bring back the glass-steagal act, bring back more government regulation on wall street.”  Who will be right next to a giant Ron Paul banner and we all know how Ron Paul feels about government regulation.  I know they want to be a leaderless movement, but sometimes you need a Martin Luther King Jr.  You sometimes need that clarity of this is the guy we are standing behind, this is what we believe in, because otherwise there becomes to many people in the same movement with opposing views.  Saturday night I was at the general assembly meeting and down one of the roads I witnessed several rich people driving by taking video with there phones and laughing.  There was even a rich guy walking through the crowd telling his friend that they should make a shirt that says “we are the 1%, the rest of you can screw yourselves”.  It’s is a bit disorganized so the wealthy have little to fear.  Anyways that’s just my 2 cents, I still have hope for this movement.

I just watched the “behind the scenes OWS” video clip on the Disinformation Facebook page and they mentioned that the reason for the “repetitious voices” is due to the city authorities not allowing amplified sound, which is why they have to use the “human Microphone” technique so that everyone can hear whats being said…I agree it is a bit annoying but it seems as though its the only option the police have left them with…

ill occupy wall street by buying stock. I have no way to be at the protests but i can help by trying to make some money and sharing it as i do anyway. stock is not just for the rich and famous anymore its also for the 99%. And if you look at it having a companies stock is like working for them without having a boss on your ass and without the threat of being fired over personal bullshit. Also if the masses buy stock of the companies that they like and truly help humanity we can gain control of what grows in our world and discard what does not. Little by little penny by penny, its going to be like a game to me.

we should camp outside business suit factories and custom suit shops. They cant work without those hideous garments they wear all the time to feel important.Kill them with fashion. When its casual friday everyday the bankers wont be able to help themselves being around all those Hawaiian    shirts and will have to lighten up and change their ways.

Wow, I wouldn’t even have known about these protests if it wasn’t for disinformation. It’s strange that the media here in Belgium bear no mention at all of these events.
