Ron Paul on Occupy Wall Street (Video)

Hear his remarks on the Occupy Wall Street gatherings. Unfortunately, CNN didn’t find the time to allow him to give a closing statement. It’d be nice to watch Ron Paul debate Barack Obama:

blind liberty is great for social issues, but fails miserably in economic policy.  financial deregulation causes more problems than it solves.  id be careful with rigid ideology.

Ron Paul, give it up, you’re not a Republican because you’re not a Reaganite, and for insulting The Gipper the way you did, you can expect to be unceremoniously lynched on the GOP platform.

    • If you believe in Magick (oh with K, aren’t we cool) you are a fucking moron:

      • tangent much?

just so you know, you come off as being quite ignorant and insecure about your beliefs when you try so hard to convince others of their truth, especially using only an ad hominem attack and nothing resembling any sort of logic.

also, a funny side note: in a way, what you are doing is actually a good thing and necessary for magick to live on, so thanks for participating.

      • Its okay, some people like a simpler reality by refusing to understand the implications of magick. It’s a lot easier to live that way, and sometimes simplicity is all those people want out of life.

“It’d be nice to watch Ron Paul debate Barack Obama” And that is why I am registering as an independent so that I can vote for him in the primaries in the hopes that he will be the GOP candidate…can you image the debates?? Paul could call out Obama on his war crimes and Obama could – hopefully – point out the faults behind some of Paul’s wacky economic policies. Everyone vote for Paul and cross your fingers…you never know 🙂

“It’d be nice to watch Ron Paul debate Barack Obama”-exactly!!  What the hell is wrong with people who wouldn’t want to see that?  Imagine Obama debating Paul on the wars, the drug war, habeus corpus, wall street and corporatism, the occupy movement, the federal reserve, the Patriot Act, the TSA, civil liberties and all the other issues that really matter?  That wouldn’t be “nice” that would EPIC!!  Which is why I beg all those not registered as Republican to register and vote for Paul in your state’s primary.  You can still vote (or not vote) for whoever you want during the general election.   Goldman Sachs is the top contributor to both Obama and Romney (and the rest of their top donors are also big banks and financial firms).  Who the hell wants to see Goldman Sachs debating Goldman Sachs over the future of our society??  (FYI, Ron Paul’s top contributors are the Army, Airforce, Navy & Microsoft, so at least we know the military and IT sector is on the side of the revolution (OWS etc.).  Wouldn’t you like a Commander in Chief who also supports the revolution?)

I think Obama would shame him to be honest. While I think Paul may be right on some issue’s that Obama is wrong on, I think Paul is a poor debater. He sounds flustered and confused even when he’s on message.

Obama is a very good debater regardless of your opinion of his policies. And while Paul is the best of the Republican candidates by far, he is not very good in the debates IMO.

      • Bullshit.  Paul is strong in his intent and would cut through Obama’s eloquently stylized bullshit facade and expose the corporate puppet as he truly is.

  17. Ron Paul= Fraud. Shill. Do-nothing career politician. Stalking horse for the Crypto-Masonic Southern GOP hierarchy.

  22. Ron Paul is the best hope of ever having thoughtful people in the GOP. It’s great to have him up there throwing out all those ideas that just blow up so much of the Conservative dogma.

It’s a shame really. I agree with the basics of Libertarianism, but then rational thought kicks in and I’m suddenly a Democratic Socialist again.

  32. I’m critical of his ideas about immigration, especially that we should put more money into border patrol.

See Douglas Massey lecture “The Political Economy of Illegal Migration”
