Occupy Building 7 Announced

Via OccupyBuilding7.org:

September 11, 2001: the day the 1% hijacked our country from the 99%
and launched a permanent war that will not end in our lifetimes unless we stop it.

Ten years later the War on Terrorism has diverted trillions of dollars from more important uses and sunken our country into debt. Building 7, which most people don’t know about, came crashing to the ground at 5:20pm on September 11th. The government’s absurd story that “normal office fires” felled this 47-story skyscraper is only the tip of the iceberg of the lies we’ve been fed about 9/11.

Now that is a good fucking idea.  I hope there is a huge presence and that the occupy movement as a whole becomes aware of building 7 and the importance of reinvestigating 9/11.  Remember the wars won’t end until the truth is known.  911 is the achilles heel of the military industrial complex and nwo reign of terror.  Kudos to rememberbuilding7.org and everyone in the fight.  See you at the new building 7.  Looks like Larry Sliverstein’s slip up is coming back to haunt his murderous ass.  PULL IT LARRY!  NEW YORK IS WAKING UP TO YOU MFKR!

    • Tuna Ghost

Phrases like “nwo reign of terror” are exactly what the OWS movement does not want to be associated with.  It is a sure-fire way to completely discredit the movement.  Truthers are attempting to co-opt a relatively more successful movement to suit its own ends, which speaks volumes about the Truth movement.

      • Honu

Yeah Tuna because no group EVER looks for opportunities to expand their influence, heaven forbid.  I don’t think OWS and Truthers should be aligned.  They don’t share the same goals though they are facets of the same jewel, namely speaking truth to power.

        • Tuna Ghost

Hmm I should’ve elaborated.  It speaks volumes for how the Truth movement views its own level of credibility in the public’s eye, and what it is willing to do in order to change that (namely, sink another more successful movement).

      • Ae911Truth.Org

Why are you so opposed to 1,600 Architects and Engineers expert opinion?  What do you have against the thousands of sick and dying first responders?  What about the family members of the victims, over 70% of whose questions were never answered by the 9/11 omission report?  Why are you so opposed to the 89.5% of Germans who don’t believe the “official” conspiracy theory.  Here is a video for you to enjoy :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yuC_4mGTs98  PS.  You’re losing

        • Tuna Ghost

For the last time: one’s beliefs regarding 9/11 or WTC 7 are not the issue here.  The issue here is credibility.  Your YouTube videos and statistics are not seen by the public at large as credible or anything other than unsubstantiated conspiracy theories.  That is the image associated with the Truth movement.  Pretending otherwise is ridiculous, especially given that the Truth movement is at this very moment trying to get credibility from another only barely credible movement by appropriating the language and brand.

Your unwillingness to address this is very telling.

OWS will lose any credibility it has if it gets mixed with these people.

    • Monkey See Monkey Do

      Why?

      • Heath

Because no one wants to believe that side of the story. It’s hard enough to get America behind this movement. Defiantly best to leave this one alone..the evidence is gone, the cover up is believed by the masses and this would just be a distraction to further discredit OWS.

    • Clever Screenname

who are “these people” you mean like 1,600 Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth, The thousands of sick and dying first responders, or the thousands of military, cia, fbi and other former government employees who are speaking out?  What is the difference between “these people” and “those people” at occupy wall street?

      • Tuna Ghost

Yes, those people.  OWS will lose all credibility by associating with those people.  They are not taken seriously, and OWS has enough problems with credibility as it is.  Regardless of one’s beliefs re: WTC 7, the fact of the matter is the truth movement is not generally thought of as credible or, to be blunt, anything other than a group of conspiracy theorists.  That is the difference between the two groups, and it is an important one.

        • Clever Screenname

47 story Building 7, not hit by a plane, manages to dismember itself in 7 seconds on 9/11!  This is totally normal in Tuna Ghosts world.  Go back to bed America, you are free to think and do what we tell you.  Tuna why are you so afraid of 911 truth?  Why is it so hard for you to understand basic physics.  A quote comes to mind, “It is very difficult for a man to understand something when his job requires that he doesn’t”  Go ahead and marinate on that one.

          • ArgosyJones

It is also “very difficult for a man to understand something when” he is a moron.  Go ahead and stew in your own juices on that one.

          • Tuna Ghost

One’s belief regarding WTC 7 is not the issue here, as you’re well aware.  The fact is the Truth movement does not have credibility in the public’s eye, which is why it is trying to borrow some from the OWS movement, which is not going to help anyone.  Least of all the OWS movement.

As I noted earlier, pretending that this is anything other than the Truth movement attempting to co-opt the marginal success of the OWS movement is disingenuous.  And, as I also noted earlier, the “omg you’re just sheeple afraid that the government doesn’t have your best interest at heart” is not a strong card to play on Disinfo, where nobody thinks the government has anyone’s interest except its own at heart.

          • Mark

And of course you are an expert on the beliefs and opinions of million of diverse people all over the World.

          • Tuna Ghost

These beliefs and opinions are not hard to collect and are evidenced by behavior.  Aside from that, the very fact that the Truth movement is blatantly attempting to co-opt the name and brand of a significantly more popular movement (to the dismay of the more popular movement) is pretty clear evidence in and of itself.  Why are you attempting to deny this?

Hopefully, Richard Gage & Co. will be re-enacting the jumpers’ desperate leaps on the next anniversary.

    • Honu

That’s a wonderful thought you have there Argosy.  Always bringing home the humanity when it’s needed most.  Just because you won’t acknowledge certain scientific truisms doesn’t mean that those who do must jump to their deaths.

      • ArgosyJones

If either of you guys want to say that shit to my face meet me in the skydeck of the John Hancock tower.  I have no mercy for truthers.  Richard Gage is the worst sort of con man, who makes his living spreading fear, lies and paranoia.  He should be occupying an urn in the back of a creepy antique store.

As for those who fall into his web of lies I can only be content that they are a tiny minority of sub-morons.  Like all vermin however, in great numbers, they can cause great damage.  I have faith in Gage.  He will blow this just like his marriage, career, and (allegedly) a large number of sailors in Berkeley.

        • Tuna Ghost

To be fair, though, the oral sex thing was probably his best work to date insofar as it spread the most happiness.  Every time I give oral sex to sailors its a shameful and distressing time for everyone, I must be doing something wrong

          • Honu

Ohhh you ‘debunker’s name calling is so so hurtful.  Ouch, a touch I do declare.  What’s so funny is how insanely mad you get Argosy.  Gage a conman?  Really….and so losing his marriage and career in service of selling his 9-11 truth movement serves him how exactly?  Money?  nope.  Fame…nope.  Sorry bud…your rationalizations fail as does your bilous screes.  Are you jealous of Gage or something?  It’s ok really…I’m sure there’s plenty of guys you can blow in your hometown.

    • Ae911Truth.Org

Wow, that really makes your absolutely soulless nature that much more apparent.

The day the 1% hijacked our country from the 99%?  I don’t think so.  Remember the 2000 “election?”  Remember GATT and NAFTA?  Remember Iran/Contra?  Hell, remember the Kennedy Assassination?

OWS Has no leaders remember.  Or that is supposed to be the case.  Therefore if an offshoot want’s to Occupy Building 7 to bring to light the TRUTH of our collective state of affairs, I can’t really understand the logic of “discrediting” a movement that is supposedly organic and determined by the will of the people.  No one is forcing anyone to do anything they don’t want to.  That is why people meet at Liberty and then march.  Anyone with a Fucking Conscience who knows about Building 7 should support this.  Otherwise don’t expect any Liberty as you’ve traded it in for security as Coward.   Tell me I’m Fucking wrong.  Does the Truth Fucking Matter or Doesn’t it??   What if you’re Family had been killed that day? Or in Iraq?  You think it’s not part of the bigger picture then you are so myopically focused on being PC that you will never see a damn thing change.  Fucking subordinate robots…..

Building 7 has been explained. Just think about it, it was next to the largest buildings to ever collapse. Many claim that the WTC towers collapsed into their own footprint but this is simply untrue. There is video evidence that the building suffered severe structural damages from falling debris.

Hi “Shaneequa”  It is absurd that 2 planes could destroy 3 towers.  Thus the reason for the occupation of the new building 7.  Oh they didn’t crumble.  They were blown to dust.  As evidenced by the nano thermite, iron rich microspherules and 118 first responders documenting explosions.  Oh and of course dont’ forget the ample video evidence demonstrating the explosion of the towers.  I know waking up is hard to do but please try if you care about liberty, justice, or your fellow man at all.

      • Tuna Ghost

Hmmm it’s a pretty standard defense of the Truth movement that anyone who doesn’t buy into it is simply incapable or unwilling to believe that the US government would dare put its political and financial interests above that of the public safety.  That, ah, that is not a sound accusation to make on a place like Disinfo where the vast majority of posters believe, as I am fond of saying, that Dick Cheney would eat a baby’s head like an apple if he thought it would benefit him in any way.

Simply put, the OWS movement has nothing to do with 9/11, nor should it.  It is concerned with financial crimes and inequality, crimes and inequality that are right out in the open and not even disputed, and they have every right to be disturbed by the Truth movement’s co-opting their name and vocabulary for its own purposes.  Claiming some kind of natural connection between the two, one that is not extremely tenuous and created entirely by the Truth movement, is disingenuous.

        • Honu

Mmmhmm….and it’s pretty typical ‘debunkers’ methodology to marginalize with insults and slash and burn with their approach to discredit 9-11 truth tellers. Funny how it doesn’t really make it go away though.  I don’t think Dick Cheney would eat a baby’s head btw.  The haters of Bush, Cheney, etc have at the very least, good evidence for believing that they don’t care much for average Americans.  If they use inflamed rhetoric to express that, you have to just give them some artistic license.  Or not…

with you on the second paragraph though

        • Clever Screen name

financial crimes huh?  Yeah ok.  Um what started the illegal and immoral wars of occupation that are bankrupting us entirely, morally and financially?  Not to mention the destruction of Enron and Worldcom evidence inside of Building 7.  Kinda the official start of the financial meltdown if you are willing to look.  Oh patriot act right right, yeah had that one on the books and signed in rather quickly huh, seems like that promotes a fair bit of inequality right? Like the government can track everything you do and monitor every phone call, email and text message we send.   Like suspension of habeas corpus and creation of  Fatherland, excuse me, homeland security which is why you get to enjoy strangers molesting you to travel or go to football games, but hey these are just off the top of my head.  Anyone who think outside of the spectrum of allowable opinion as proliferated by shills like yourself probably can come up with a dozen more reasons why 9/11 truth is essential.

The country isn’t bankrupt.  Corporate profits are at record highs.  Taxes are at their lowest level in decades and decades.  The wars are not the reason for the unemployment rate.

Kinda the official start of the financial meltdown if you are willing to look.

If you think that’s where the ruin of the economy has its origins, then you either were not and are not paying attention, or you don’t understand how the economy works.  This is an example of why the Truth movement does not have credibility in the mind of the public.

That is the difference between the two groups, and it is an important one.

financial crimes huh?

The truth movement is a laugh. it is infiltrated and manipulated to make the people part of that movement look like complete morons and alot of them are..

9/11 is a great example. lets put out a theory of thermite and give it to alex jones to run with and then thousands of people will follow this theory and fight for it because they truly belief something happened on 9/11 even tho this theory doesnt really hold true, alex jones told them so it must be true.

The fucked up thing is SOMETHING DID HAPPEN on 9/11 and the dozens of coincidences and connections make that apparent to even the most dim witted individual.

So then if one digs deeper they come across Dimitri Dhalezov but nobody is REALLY gonna hear of him because hes really not that dangerous, because even the truthers wont listen to him because it does not follow what they believe, or want to believe. So he is left alone and allowed to present his case of nothing but scientific fact that cant be broken.

This is the problem with the truth movement and such. Theres too much disinformation and manipulation.  that gives people like Tuna Fish the bait to say hey look your all stupid for thining this way, even tho his thinking is kind of skewed himself because anyone with an thought to think for themselves and an idea of common sense would clearly see that something is seriously not right with this whole 9/11 story the government has given us.

And alas the circle continues, the fool trying to convince the other fool who the bigger fool is, and during this entire process the activities that keep destroying our countries, and world as a whole keep on keeping on..

we make things SO complicated by adding politics to it as well.  And again anyone with an ioda of free thinking could clearly see the silliness in this method.

    Common sense is this..

Our world is fucked up because of the people who are running it. WHO CARES about the details if they did THIS or THAT. what we should be CARING about is REMOVING the parasites from power. keep it simple stupid and stop distracting the real issues..and what i hate the MOST is when someone defends our goverment in anyway. They lost that privilege along time ago, so instead of standing up for them why not stand up for each other EVEN if we dont agree on everything.

Give me some credit, guy.  Of course I don’t believe the gov’t is telling the truth about 9/11.  I just also don’t believe Gage et all.

…not that what I, or anyone for that matter, believes about 9/11 really has anything to do with the issue at hand.

  • ArgosyJones

It is also “very difficult for a man to understand something when” he is a moron.  Go ahead and stew in your own juices on that one.

  • Tuna Ghost

Hmm I should’ve elaborated.  It speaks volumes for how the Truth movement views its own level of credibility in the public’s eye, and what it is willing to do in order to change that (namely, sink another more successful movement).

  • Tuna Ghost

Um what started the illegal and immoral wars of occupation that are bankrupting us entirely, morally and financially?

The country isn’t bankrupt.  Corporate profits are at record highs.  Taxes are at their lowest level in decades and decades.  The wars are not the reason for the unemployment rate.

Kinda the official start of the financial meltdown if you are willing to look.

If you think that’s where the ruin of the economy has its origins, then you either were not and are not paying attention, or you don’t understand how the economy works.  This is an example of why the Truth movement does not have credibility in the mind of the public.

  • Tuna Ghost

To be fair, though, the oral sex thing was probably his best work to date insofar as it spread the most happiness.  Every time I give oral sex to sailors its a shameful and distressing time for everyone, I must be doing something wrong

  • Tuna Ghost

I talked to these “Truther” dolts at one of their pathetic rallies a couple years ago. Most of them seemed like they lived in their parents’ basement. I asked them how the Feds got the explosives in the buildings. Their answer was simple: Agents were disguised as celluar phone techs. I then asked them if all these agents were killed to keep them from talking. Of course they were! Do you think our monolithic juggernaut of a government is stupid? I then asked how comes it that none of the government assassins of the original bomb-planting agents never talked or wrote an anonymous email about their crimes. Well, this elicited a stony silence. Obviously I had violated their creed. Now I was not welcome. Perhaps I was a secret agent myself! I think the” 911 truth movement” is an inside job.

OK dolt. Have you considered the possibility that it wouldn’t be that hard to bring these buildings down if they were designed in such a way that they could be brought down safely. This design feature would be a good idea considering the density of the surrounding buildings.

Here’s another one dolt: those who could have installed the explosives may not have known what they were installing. They may have thought it to be air conditioning controllers or other seemingly benign fittings.

I don’t know exactly what happened, as opposed to Soktama who in all his wisdom seems to have with a single argument rebuffed some truthers, and theorises that the truth movement is an inside job. Well, it would be pretty easy to infiltrate the 9/11 truther crowd to make them look dumb, just like any popular protest movement. Smart truthers know that the facts are not clear and need to be investigated properly.

Soktoma, your arguments are weak. You picked on some small fry. Take a bite out of my arguments if you think that you are so smart.

As for the stinking tuna fish, OWS is perceived to be a bunch of mainly young idealists who have not been able to formulate any real steps to end corporate domination of the US and other parts of the world. OWS is no more credible than the 9/11 truth movement. I would actually say OWS is less credible; truthers have a clear intent, OWS do not, or at least they do not have any plausible plans to effect the change that they (and I) desire. I am sorry to say that the corporates would be rejoicing at the failure of the Occupy movements to effect any change.

Start chanting “Wealth Cap”, and then you will see them sweat.

In fact, if the OWS protesters want to get to the bottom of the massive deceptions going on, a proper inquiry into 9/11 would be a good place to start. The NIST inquiry was not thorough on any level aside from side-stepping the hard questions.

I am a “truther”. What do I make of critics of truthers? Bullshit artists!

After reading these comments it saddens me to think of all the silly ways in which we are divided.

The OWS is a protest and movement against capitalism & corporatocracy. When capitalism and the corporations fall only then we will be able to truly disseminate the truth from the lies.

We need to focus on uniting with eachother, we need to be tactful and understanding. channel this anger on focusing on the real enemies ‘capitalism, corporations and systems of goverment’

I think it should be stated that by “Occupying” Building 7 that there is not intention to hijack or bend the OWS to the 9/11 Truth side of popular revolt and questioning of power.  Rather it’s utilizing a meme of resistance to add to the over 10 years of dedicated research, organization, and exemplary activism as epitomized by the efforts of the Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth, RememberBuilding7.org, NYCCAN, FireFighters for 9/11 Truth, FealGood Foundation (First responders aid advocacy), 911blogger.com, Scholars for 9/11 Truth and Justice, We Are Change, etc, etc, which have any many ways pioneered the explosion of social media as a tool for the oppressed, (Loose Change as the first internet blockbuster film with Millions of views is but one example)  the Occupy Building 7 movement is simply a call for increasing awareness of the reality of Building 7′s destruction on 9/11.  Only 1/4 New Yorkers are aware of Building 7.  Perhaps we can let the people decide once they actually are prompted to this reality if there should be a new 9/11 investigation.  For everyone on this forum who try to sway the conversation away from sharing information about Building 7, I simply ask that you let people make their own educated decisions once they have become aware of Building 7 and the evidence that demands a new investigation of 9/11.  It wont’ hurt you in the least, unless of course you have a stake in maintaining the big lie of 9/11.

    Peace in the Middle East.

Perhaps not, but it is an attempt to co-opt the brand and vocabulary of the Occupy /x/ movement to lend credibility to the Truth movement, which will have a negative impact on the Occupy Whatever movement’s credibility.  This is why so many people have a problem with it, regardless of their beliefs in regard to WTC 7 and 9/11.  They are justified in their dismay at being associated with the Truth movement.  The issues dealt with by each movement are not similar and do not lend themselves to sitting together under one banner.  People are viewing this co-opting as being beneficial to only one side and rather harmful to the other.  They are right to do so; this will only hurt the OWS movement.
