    • progess

The retired police officer is a man with a conscience. Something you would know nothing about.

      • Jaymalls

Lmao… this is crazy. Why are people JUST NOW talking about the brutality of the NYPD. This shit has been going on for years. When some people decide to take over a park, block intersections, block bridges, hold up trains, etc and get arrested for that… NOW ITS A BIG DEAL! But when people get shot for reaching for their wallets, leaving a club the day before their wedding day with no gone on them, for just driving away after a bar closes with no gun and multiple witness of the opposite race saying the person did nothing wrong, for speaking up while cuffed, etc You guys say “Ohh, the cop was just doing his job!” Or the kicker, “those animals are always up to no good…” lmao.
I in noway condone the recent actions of the NYPD, but i don’t condone the actions of the OWS protesters either.

        • Dean Osborne

Well maybe the occupy movement will stop now that we know YOU don’t condone it. What do you mean “you guys” say the cops “are just doing their jobs”. You have it ass-backwards,pretty much like every thing else you say. Maybe you need to get your facts right.

You are one ignorant bastard. Fuck you and the delayed train you rode out on! These fucks, as you call them, are getting knocked upside their heads, for assholes like you. So you have a job, I didn’t know they still had shoeshine boys in NY. Don’t take offense, I am just letting you know you’re over-reaching.#woops #did I say that?

        • Dean Osborne

you know what dude, you are right, these occupiers cannot do anything for you. You suffer from the Stockholm syndrome, you think trying to change the system is to big an inconvenience. So you want to take the side of the cops and 1%, because it was a hassle for you personally, piss on you and I am not your bro, shithead!

          • Jaymalls

“So you want to take the side of the cops and 1%”
I will NEVER take the side of ANY cop over a civilian. I done been arrested, pulled over, and profiled more times than you and anybody in your immediate family put together. I CAN GUARANTEE THAT!
2d off, why do you guys seem to hate EVERYONE, YES EVERYONE, in the top “1%”??? I dont get it, most of the people there worked hard to get to that tax bracket… they weren’t just born with money. The sad part about this is that alot of them are willing to pay more in taxes, which is way more than alot of us gross. Im not saying that i disagree with the overall message, im just saying get the ball rolling already. All I’ve been hearing for the past two months is a lot of complaining and not enough action.

ohh yea, you can grab your ankles now puss!

    This is where it starts.

Cops will never be able to directly empathize with the students or the union guys, because cop culture is by existential necessity top-down.  Yes, for all practical day-to-day purposes the personal interests of the cops align with the 99%, but their professional raison d’etre is entirely indifferent to that fact.  Sick but true.

So the way to de-fang the puppet masters has to be through respected retirees like this guy, who carry enough street cred with the cops to be listened to, and yet are fiscally and politically independent of the powerstructures the juniors’ are being made to serve.

Now the next step in this evolution will be the adoption of a legislative campaign to protect the current serving officers from co-option by the Goldman-Sachs/Citizens United machine.  Probably something along the lines I discussed in the last section here:

The wheels are in motion already.

    Have you heard about

    Captain Ray Lewis,

    the grayhair

    from Philadelphia?

    He went to Wall Street

    in full dress uniform

    carrying a sign addressing

    NYPD brutality.

    He knows the brutalization

    we have seen thus far

    has been nothing.

    “If this continues to grow,

    if this continues to grow.”

    He shakes his head

    at what is coming.

“They will target the leaders first.”

He does not complete his thought.

    He does not say

    what he knows

    about the way ahead:

    that the leaders must be

    innumerable.

They must be innumerable and unmoving.

And brave as only wild things are.

I am with Captain Ray Lewis,

    grayhair from Philadelphia.
