Gerald Celente’s Dire Predictions For 2012

Gerald Celente

Gerald Celente

Gerald Celente of Trends Research International has a habit of predicting nasty events before they happen. He just emailed us his selection of 12 things we’d rather not see in 2012:

One megatrend looms on the near horizon. And we forecast that when it strikes, it will be a shock felt around the world. Hyperbole it’s not! Our research has revealed that at the very highest levels of government this megatrend has been seriously discussed. Read on:

1. Economic Martial Law: Given the current economic and geopolitical conditions, the central banks and world governments already have plans in place to declare economic martial law … with the possibility of military martial law to follow.

2. Battlefield America: With a stroke of the Presidential pen, language was removed from an earlier version of the National Defense Authorization Act, granting the President authority to act as judge, jury and executioner. Citizens, welcome to “Battlefield America.”

3. Invasion of the Occtupy: 15 years ago, Gerald Celente predicted in his book Trends 2000 that prolonged protests would hit Wall Street in the early years of the new millennium and would spread nationwide. The “Occtupy” is now upon us, and it is like nothing history has ever witnessed.

4. Climax Time: The financial house of cards is collapsing, and in 2012 many of the long-simmering socioeconomic and geopolitical trends that Celente has accurately forecast will come to a climax. Some will arrive with a big bang and others less dramatically … but no less consequentially. Are you prepared? And what’s next for the world?

5. Technocrat Takeover: “Democracy is Dead; Long Live the Technocrat!” A pair of lightning-quick financial coup d’états in Greece and Italy have installed two unelected figures as head of state. No one yet in the mainstream media is calling this merger of state and corporate powers by its proper name: Fascism, nor are they calling these “technocrats” by their proper name: Bankers! Can a rudderless ship be saved because technocrat is at the helm?

6. Repatriate! Repatriate!: It took a small, but financially and politically powerful group to sell the world on globalization, and it will take a large, committed and coordinated citizens’ movement to “un-sell” it. “Repatriate! Repatriate!” will pit the creative instincts of a multitude of individuals against the repressive monopoly of the multinationals.

7. Secession Obsession: Winds of political change are blowing from Tunisia to Russia and everywhere in between, opening a window of opportunity through which previously unimaginable political options may now be considered: radical decentralization, Internet-based direct democracy, secession, and even the peaceful dissolution of nations, offering the possibility for a new world “disorder.”

8. Safe Havens: As the signs of imminent economic and social collapse become more pronounced, legions of New Millennium survivalists are, or will be, thinking about looking for methods and ways to escape the resulting turmoil. Those “on-trend” have already taken measure to implement Gerald Celente’s 3 G’s: Gold, Guns and a Getaway plan. Where to go? What to do? Top Trends 2012 will guide the way.

9. Big Brother Internet: The coming year will be the beginning of the end of Internet Freedom: A battle between the governments and the people. Governments will propose legislation for a new “authentication technology,” requiring Internet users to present the equivalent of a driver’s license and/or bill of health to navigate cyberspace. For the general population it will represent yet another curtailing of freedom and level of governmental control.

10. Direct vs. Faux Democracy: In every corner of the world, a restive populace has made it clear that it’s disgusted with “politics as usual” and is looking for change. Government, in all its forms – democracy, autocracy, monarchy, socialism, communism – just isn’’t working. The only viable solution is to take the vote out of the hands of party politicians and institute Direct Democracy. If the Swiss can do it, why can’t anyone else?

11. Alternative Energy 2012: Even under the cloud of Fukushima, the harnessing of nuclear power is being reinvigorated by a fuel that is significantly safer than uranium and by the introduction of small, modular, portable reactors that reduce costs and construction time. In addition, there are dozens of projects underway that explore the possibility of creating cleaner, competitively priced liquid fuels distilled from natural sources. Plan to start saying goodbye to conventional liquid fuels!

12. Going Out in Style: In the bleak terrain of 2012 and beyond, “Affordable sophistication” will direct and inspire products, fashion, music, the fine arts and entertainment at all levels. US businesses would be wise to wake up and tap into the dormant desire for old time quality and the America that was.

fear mongering, doom and gloom, extreme pessimism….I always mention the phrase, “with what we know,” which always
meant, this time in history, all ends of the earth have been connected,
the collective knowledge and methods of men are now available, the
teachings of the ages can finally coalesce, into what? the
externalization of the means of survival on machines that create energy has not worked, placing all hopes in the material has not worked. time and again it all boils down to being responsible to one another,
to treat each other with love and kindness. just hollow words when we
have continually ignored this simple yet most profound fact, treating
peace and love as though they were external entities to be cornered and
tamed into some sort of utopia. if there is any revolution, it will
begin at the self, in the behavior, intent and action of the individual,
to will themselves into this “enlightened” being they so endlessly rant
about but never actually seek, continually creating excuses and
prepared to use words that justify their contradictions, caught in an
eddy of some infinitely larger river that will wash us away if we do not
swim with all our might to join the current. the methods of survival,
the knowledge we have of engineering, farming, chemistry, of all the
disciplines, we are now at a critical juncture, will we use it to
continue to profit our own self interests, or will we apply it with
ingenuity and brotherhood? it seems useless, the environment crumbles
before our very eyes, the innocent are still destroyed, whether we pay
the taxes or flip the countless switches that burn up resources and fill
the coffers of the tyrants to tyrannize as they have have for
centuries, it is time for an individual choice, to lead by example no
matter the consequences, or join the slaves in a supranational union
that will, make no doubt about it, still and always be for the 1 %.

combine the finest knowledge we know of life without electricity and
what will remain? combine a new thought and pure intent with that and
what will be? will children still be raised the same way that they now
are? the conditioning of behavior, for some spiritual, has been around
for ages, some for good, some for bad. it is now time we recognized with
truth things for what they are,  and leave forever behind that which we
know beyond the shadow of a doubt that has enslaved us, not only
to the tyrants, but to our own self importance and selfish desires that
manifest themselves in the apathy and satisfaction we have for and from
the society we were born into. conveniently leaving out the negative
aspects of our own self reflections. the true good in my opinion has
never existed, yet we mention it always in relation to the awesome
powers we wield and will seemingly soon have, externalizing what can
    only begin at ourselves.

maybe we have come this far to learn the hard way that maybe we should
have started with our actions first, many will argue it is built into
us, that we are animals, yet there are those who have changed, there are
those who have made a difference and know there is always a choice,
always that chance every moment, that a selfless righteous thought can
manifest itself in our acts. that we alone hold the key to the
continuation of our kind, that only us can finally put our money where
are mouth is and stop paying lip service to the values we strive to
attain. it is a hard path to trust, to endure the masculine culture we
were born into and overcome all gender identities and conditioning and
constructs and brainwashing, but that is how it is, and the tests that
lie ahead will be very difficult and death will reign. but in the end,
it is in our hands, individually, that we may strive and perhaps finally
come together, into what? that is something I would like to find out….

The proof is in his past — Gerald Celente has earned his reputation as “The most trusted name in trends” by accurately forecasting hundreds of social, business, consumer, environmental, economic, political, entertainment, and technology trends. Among them:

    * Celente coined the term “clean foods” in 1993 and predicted sustained growth in organic products in 1988.
    * When gold was at $275 per ounce in 2002, Celente said the price had bottomed and in 2004 forecast the beginning of the “Gold Bull Run.” Since that time, with pinpoint accuracy, he said when, why – and how high – gold would go.
    * Years before Starbucks was a household name, Celente forecast the popularity of gourmet coffee and decades before Pepsi and Coke got into the water business he predicted the “Big Boom in Bottled Water.”
    * On the geopolitical and economic fronts, Celente and The Trends Research Institute are credited with forecasting many major trends, including the “Panic of ’08,” the collapse of the Soviet Union, the last two recessions, the dot-com meltdown, the 1997 Asian currency crisis, the 1987 world stock market crash, increased terrorism against America, “Crusades 2000,” and the quagmire in Iraq … before war began.

Gerald Celente has also accurately forecast many real estate trends, including the big move to vacation spots and small towns, the growth in the second home market, a real estate “fizz” in 2005 … plus hundreds of other social, business, fashion, consumer and entertainment trends.

this guy has a horrible track record. as a matter of fact it’s hard to find any of his predictions that have ever been realized.  except for the ones that are so broad scoped and general as to be predictable by school children

Since I am not a forecaster of what is to come or may come I tend to think this guy is probably more right on than most and unless your blind and cannot feel or see you wouldn’t be able to accept the fact that things are not looking good for the home team, meaning (the real Americans who built this great country and have given their lives to protect it and it’s people); the rest of us are just freeloaders unless your still fighting to save her.  Everyone needs to come together as one because that’s the only way we’ll win in the end.  Go Team!!    May God Bless America.
