How Should OccupyWallStreet Spend Its $300,000?

Nearly two months after the NYPD raided Zuccotti Park, Occupy Wall Street protesters are now deciding how to spend $300,000 left in their coffers.

At a recent meeting, protesters debated what to do with the money, down from $706,855 at the movement’s peak, according to the New York Post. Much of that $700K came via online donations from OWS supporters and has already been spent on food and supplies.

The remaining OWS members meet daily at the atrium at 60 Wall Street. During one such meeting, the Post reported, one of the ideas pitched included burning the cash in a bonfire on Wall Street, a suggestion that has since been dropped.

    Buy the minimum number of shares (usually 100) to allow you the right to attend AGM and stockholder meetings of EVERY Bank on Wall Street, attend every meeting going, fillibuster every motion tabled and ask every corporate CEO and board member in attendance firstly, what the hell did they think they were doing, and secondly, “Have you no decency, Sir?”

    They should fund a Public Education Campaign outlining key issues and talking points of the movement. Organize a voting bloc and action committee to vote in accordance with the movements goals and objectives …. with truth on their side they can beat the “Evil Doers” at their own game.

    Hair implants for Donald Trump.  He’d never buy it himself, but clearly he’s been hinting for quite a long while.  It’s not dignified for a man like that to beg.

    But seriously, they should roll it all into shares of a credit union.  In 2012 it’ll be fasionable to be a charter member to an alternative to the big-banks who do nothing with their capital but day trade.

    I see two explanations for that, the first is that you are making a tired and played out reference to the alleged hygiene of the protesters, for which I award no points, and may God(s) have mercy on your soul, the second is that you are making a reference to Fight Club, if that is the case then I feel reasonably sure that you have won the internetz for the day.

    this was my thinking too, buy a ghost town, or better yet, urban “wasteland” (downtown detroit?) and transform it into an anarchist ghetto.
