The JFK Speech That Made Rick Santorum Want to “Throw Up” (Video)

I’m really wondering if the goal now of the Republican Party is to get Barack Obama re-elected. Scott Collins reports in the LA Times:

Rick Santorum has not been a frequent presence on the Sunday morning chat shows during his Republican presidential campaign. But when he shows up, he really makes an impression.

On Sunday, the former Pennsylvania senator told ABC’s “This Week with George Stephanopoulos” that a 1960 speech by John F. Kennedy to Baptist ministers in Houston made him want to “throw up.” In the speech, Kennedy, then running for president, tried to reassure critics that, as a Catholic, he would not take orders from the pope and that he believed in “absolute” separation of church and state.

Does this mean Santorum will be taking orders directly from the Pope?

      Santorum answers to no one.

  • DeepCough

Well, I can see why this speech made Santorum puke: it clearly wasn’t approved by the Vatican beforehand.

When they tell you who they are, BELIEVE THEM. This guy is a flat out Christian Reconstructionist wants to turn this country into a theocracy. The christian version of Afghanistan. He and his ilk are not better than the Taliban. Given the chance, they’d treat women and their version of “infidels” the same way they do.

Somebody needs to tell this douche you swear on the Bible (if you so choose) to uphold the Constitution, not the other way around….

But United States in Hebrew is Artsot HaBrit which is Land of the Covenant and when you put Amerika into the Bible Code Matrix you will understand that this is the Land of the 10 Lost Tribes and is under the Rulership of the Tribe of Joseph (pbuh).

    • rtb61

Santorum is coming off far worse than that. He is not a Christian Reconstructionist but a Church of Santorum Reconstructionist, completely ignoring many elements of Christianity in favour of his own version where he in his own mind is God, where for example companies providing life given drugs are entitled to extort unlimited state protected profits from the people most in need and at their most vulnerable (something factually that under the bible align with Satan rather than Jesus).
So Santorum by his actions is no Christian.

  • Misinformation

I’ve wondered about the idea that the whole GOP field are Democratic agents as well. Quite possibly though, seems like Santorum and even Gingrich (he just made reference to Romney not being superstitious enough somewhere)  are now only there to try and push Romney further to the right for the general election. Partly, I need to believe that because if Santorum really has a shot, well, then, um, well.

Back in those days, it cost a tiny fraction of what it does today to run for President and the Kennedy family at that time were so incredibly wealthy, when Jack and the other boys ran for the Senate and then for the White House, their father’s fortune was so vast, he hardly needed to bother raising any money outside of Joseph Kennedy’s circle of friends and family.

One of the reasons JFK was able to apparently run such a clean campaign was that because there was never a time he had to worry about making moral concessions and bending his principles by compromise to keep the cheques coming in when he needed them. He never, during his years in the Senate with Bobby had need to hint to any individual or groups that they might be open to or else available to being bought, so they were able therefore to be about the only elected men in Washington to challenge massive and nationwide fraud and racketeering being carried out by the likes of Jimmy Hoffa..

Hoffa had been bribing, cutting in and otherwise paying off police and other branches of law enforecement to look the other way, contribute to the scheme they were running or run a section of the racket themselves for a cut much in excess of their cop salaries .

When he began to attract wider national attention for his activities and got gradually invited more frequently to testify before congress and explain his group’s activities, the Kennedy brothers in the Sennate, and later when Jack ascended to the presidency and appointed Bobby to be Attourney general were devastating in pursing Hoffa and his like because Hoffa quickly realised he couldn’t bribe them to lay off and give him some slack because the family was way too rich for them ever to need the money. Hoffa typically offered a cash bribe, a massive one, within 5 mins of meeting a representative, to gauge how corrupt the Rep was already, how polite, grateful or despereste they seemed to him to be and figured out who might be worth revisiting at a later date with a bigger bribe or a blackmail attempt if he could get any dirt on them in the meantime.

But the Kennedys were impossible to corrupt in those years because the family was so well off the availability of funds was never in any doubt .

Richard Nixon meanwhile, absolutely despised them for bring born with silver spoons as he saw it, and spent much if the 8 years he spent in the vice presidency hustling cash donations in exchange for promises and concessions all across the country in plain brown envelopes…

Oh, and the Vatican is not allowed to contribute directly to campaigns, as both a religious organisation and a sovereign non- US nation.

  • PP1982

JFK and Ron Paul sound the same on the religious issue of the presidential office. Ron Paul on piers morgan said the same thing basically. He said his personal/religious views and his political views are neutral. Interesting… JFK the last real true President!….

  • Sennalvr

Santorum is just desperate to do and say anything that will help him get elected. He’ll suck/kiss any groups dick if it’ll get him votes.

  • Spike1138

Rick, let me put it to you like this…

We are talking here right now together in the Public Square. We are outdoors, right now.

See that big, tall, fancy bilding over there on the edge of the public square that you and all your friends like to hang out in after school and every Sunday and talk about God and smile and laugh and sing happy, clappy songs about how nice and kind your God is and how much he loves you and just how awesome he thinks you all are, together?

That’s your church. It’s in the public square, as are you and as am I, while we talk about serious things we may have in common thar we can help each other our with. Moreover, since your church has been here since even before much this community was laid down, settled and planned, and given that the large churchyard and the adjacent graveyard and the remains and Christian bones of those who first settled here manage to a large degree define the shape, and indeed nature and of this public square by enclosing two of it’s four sides, both the church and the dead in large part created this public space in which we now stand and speak freely to one another as rational men.

I thank you and your church for their aid in that task, and please pass along my best regards and compliments to your ancestors also, the next time you happen to run into them.

Like I said, your church is part of the public square, helped to establish and define it, helped make it what it now is, gives it context and deeper meaning as a concept, to the extent that without the church, the public square as we now know it could not exist in any form we would recognise.

Your church generally conducts its services and worship indoors.

We are outdoors. In the public square.

I would kindly thank you to remember where you are before you next open your mouth to speak, otherwise you’re liable to wind up making something of a fool of yourself.

You wish to speak at length of God in this court of earthly affairs, to address others that do not share your creed, and that is your right and will respect it. I feel I must however caution you; the time for talk and discourse on these matters supranatural may potentially be eternal if, as you hold to be true, we are restored on mortal death to an existence and promise of life eternal, sanctified (as you hold to be true) by Christ’s new covenant with man.

In the public square of this earthly plane however, it’s last thing on a Friday afternoon, we vote on this in 20mins and you’ve just squandered 3 of your 5 minutes allotted time reading to Brother’s Cohen and Sister Leibowitz from St. Paul’s Letters to the Ephisians and remonstrating loudly with Senator Luthor X of Michigan for bearing false witness in the eyes of the Lord.

We want you to participate with us in these affairs and you are encouraged and welcome to express your views and opinions freely. We are all friends here. But please, really, for your own sake, try to remember where you are and to whom you are speaking with before doing so, ‘less you’re liable to wind up sounding like a damn fool as often as makes no odds.

    I’ll make you a bargain.

You keep your spiritual, monotheistic Old World circle-jerk indoors inside that church of yours and out of the public square, and in return, I’ll keep my own, equally moving and profound sessions of similarly self-involved acts of lustful overindulgence and auto-erotic self-gratification indoors, behind the privacy of my own bathroom door.

Rather than, you know… on the floor of the Senate. During hours of business.

Although, in my case I’m not absolutely certain that I would be able to anyway, at least it’s something I’d find far more difficult to achieve if I knew that Joe Biden was somewhere in the same room as me at the time.

Developing and fostering a meaningful, deep and above all personal relationship personal relationship with your God or gods is a profound and life chafing experience for most who experience it. Just as is the anticipation of their next, imminent wank is to some other people.

And again, very much similar to your last 8 or 9 wanks that you may recall, your own, personal relationship with Jesus Christ as your Personal Saviour shares one other, perhaps not necessarily immediately obvious attribute unless somehow you recognise the pattern developing somehow.

No one else but for you, and perhaps just anyone else who may also have been there with you at the time and so already know about it will EVER be remotely interested in hearing anyone else going on and on about it , all-day, every-day….
