Pennsylvania Bans Doctors From Disclosing Fracking Dangers To Patients

Marcellus Shale Gas Drilling Tower 1This is truly like something from a George Orwell novel. Via The Atlantic:

Under a new law, doctors in Pennsylvania can access information about chemicals used in natural gas extraction — but they won’t be able to share it with their patients. A provision buried in a law passed last month is drawing scrutiny from the public health and environmental community, who argue that it will “gag” doctors who want to raise concerns related to oil and gas extraction with the people they treat and the general public.

Pennsylvania is at the forefront in the debate over “fracking,” the process by which a high-pressure mixture of chemicals, sand, and water are blasted into rock to tap into the gas. Recent discoveries of great reserves in the Marcellus Shale region of the state prompted a rush to development, as have advancements in fracking technologies. But with those changes have come a number of concerns from citizens about potential environmental and health impacts from natural gas drilling.

There is good reason to be curious about exactly what’s in those fluids…

  2. If we weren’t supposed to inject an incredibly toxic mix of chemicals into the ground and poison the water table for generations then why did Jesus put all those delicious fossil fuels there?

America is an adulterous nation, whoring itself as the Bride of Christ.  Therefore JVHW(pbuh)® must, as a JEALOUS God subject the Sotah Nation to the TRIAL OF BITTER WATER.  Her abomination will slough off her thigh and Rick Santorum shall take it to lie between he and his wife for 3 nights upon which he shall give it to his VIRGIN daughter so that it may be purified by her.  And the LORD shall be pleased.  And He shall send His Son to you upon a corned beef brisket (kosher) so that ye may know HIS Mercy.

And it’s a good thing the residents of Pennsylvania will have to purchase private health insurance, as the people the doctors didn’t inform concerning all those chemicals, and the dangers associated with them, will be lining up in front of their offices complaining of respiratory problems, headaches, itchy skin, dizziness and other ailments*. . . it’s a win-win-win for good ’ol Capitalism.
