Why Is Nearly Every President Left Handed?

3Did you know that being left-handed is basically a requirement to hold the U.S. presidency? Lefties comprise just 10 percent of the population, yet the only right-handed president over the past three decades was George Dubya Bush. What does it mean? Are the left-dominant a superior race? Is the “evil” hand some sort of Illuminati-approved symbol? Via Wikipedia:

As of 2012, four (five if Reagan is counted) out of the last seven presidents have been left-handed. In the 1992 election, all three major candidates – George H. W. Bush, Bill Clinton and Ross Perot – were left-handed. The 1996 election also involved three left-handed candidates: Clinton, Perot, and Bob Dole, who learned to use his left hand after his right hand was paralyzed by a World War II injury. Additionally, both major-party candidates in the 2008 presidential election – Barack Obama and John McCain – were left-handed.

According to Daniel Geschwind, a professor of human genetics at UCLA: “[The phenomenon] is statistically significant, and probably means something.”

lay off the drugs mate there might be some kind of conspiracy but it ain’t aliens they just want people to think shit like that to discredit any sensible stuff they believe along with it, it’s a double bluff they know you know something is wrong so they give you this crap to make you look nuts. I’m left handed i’m very smart i use it to unravel the sports fixes and bet on it because i know how they think but i’m nbot evil and i’m not from draco, and no i don’t think i’m part alien in my ancestry lol

O.D. (oculus dexter) is the right eye, O.S. (oculus sinister) is the left eye in medical terms. The deeper meaning is that the two are at odds, with the left out to get the right.

  3. Um, …I’m gonna go with that’s how the Illuminati chooses their Satanic host. 🙂

  4. According to the source page, out of the last 14 presidents 7 have been right-handed, 6 have been left-handed, and 1 was ambidextrous.  That is a lot more left-handedness than the general population, but it isn’t “nearly every.”

      Good catch.

But, just to play devil’s advocate, maybe they really meant to say “every NEARLY PRESIDENT”, instead of “nearly every president”–highlighting the fact that these guys’ leadership qualities have been a bit uneven.

I am Left handed, my mother was left handed, I was born on her birthday, my half brother is left handed, his mother was left handed, he was born on her birthday. He and I have almost the same handwriting and had never met until I was 55 & he was 65. What a bunch of coincidences!

Just take care the Illumenati don’t find you.  They’re likely to misinterpret it as heralding the dawn of a new Masonic age or something.  They make a good sales pitch, but always hide the important stuff in the fine print.

    * left handed * Gemini * female * of a certain age   — there’s nothing sinister about being left handed (except by definition of the word)  — most left handed folks have to be somewhat ambidextrous, since they’re born into a predominantly right handed world —  if left handedness was associate with the Illuminati and/or The Grove, it wouldn’t be talked about outside those organizations either — statistically, most left handed folks have at least a slightly higher IQ than the majority of right handed folks —

  8. Left handed people are non conformist and idealist.

  9. i knew there was something very gauche about US presidents
    and it wasn’t their politics
it was their very heavy left hand

  10. Nearly every candidate for president in the past century was born male, grew up among white people, is taller than average, and has a larger than average personal fortune. We tend to favor independent, successful, attractive men. It says more about the voters’ preferred type of candidate for office than it does about the dexterity of the candidates.
