How the U.S. Uses Sexual Humiliation as a Political Tool to Control the Masses

Search“Believe me, you don’t want the state having the power to strip your clothes off. And yet, it’s exactly what is happening…” Naomi Wolf writes in the Guardian:

In a five-four ruling this week, the supreme court decided that anyone can be strip-searched upon arrest for any offense, however minor, at any time. This horror show ruling joins two recent horror show laws: the NDAA, which lets anyone be arrested forever at any time, and HR 347, the “trespass bill”, which gives you a 10-year sentence for protesting anywhere near someone with secret service protection. These criminalizations of being human follow, of course, the mini-uprising of the Occupy movement.

Is American strip-searching benign? The man who had brought the initial suit, Albert Florence, described having been told to “turn around. Squat and cough. Spread your cheeks.” He said he felt humiliated: “It made me feel like less of a man.”

In surreal reasoning, justice Anthony Kennedy explained that this ruling is necessary because the 9/11 bomber could have been stopped for speeding. How would strip searching him have prevented the attack? Did justice Kennedy imagine that plans to blow up the twin towers had been concealed in a body cavity? In still more bizarre non-logic, his and the other justices’ decision rests on concerns about weapons and contraband in prison systems. But people under arrest — that is, who are not yet convicted — haven’t been introduced into a prison population.

  1. Fuck America.

    •  too late
      it’s already fucked

now bend over and say cheese

    • That’s the thing. America is fucking itself. “The people” are too stupid, lazy, distracted and cowardly and narrowly self centered to do much of anything about any of these new attacks on them. Frankly, aside from concern for the safety of other countries, as an American I sort of think Americans -because so many are such political dumbassed douchebags, deserve to be anal searched and told “Excuse me sir, do you mind if I touch your balls” and then groped by an ignorant ghetto retard every time they take a plane flight. Fuck it, most people are in third world shit holes worried about getting drinking water and food while American piggies fly around and consume 25% of the world’s resources… let us ‘Mericans that elect people like Obama and Bush get molested. Fuck it. Fuck America.

But you — yes you! — are blessed with the discernment see the truth that 300 million others cannot see.

        • I assumed I’d probably get a dumb reply to this effect. Imagine if I thought that. Or if anybody literally thought that of themselves.  Hmm, should I actually point out how fucking dumb your ..

OK, I don’t even see myself as above average in intelligence. Go ahead make fun. Fine, it is fine. I’m not smart. I do not have a particularly great educational background, I am working class, etc. Seeing myself this way makes me MORE upset, disgusted, appalled, etc., at my fellow humans -particularly my fellow American citizens- when I see how WE fail to live up to our responsibilities and when people don’t see what is obvious _because they don’t give a shit_ about facts, reason, principles, truth, etc. (basic Enlightenment values really). We reduce ourselves to selfish little consuming piggies.
Me too. I suck. I am lazy and don’t hardly do shit but whine on the internet. And  it disgusts me. And to kill boredom and frustration I wank off on the internet, my laptop being nothing much more than a tool to get degrading shit jobs and to masturbate with, like  on these circle jerk discussion forums.

  2. things would be better if they got some attractive people doing the searches 😉

  3. Except Americans won’t care enough because they mostly ignore ever talking about sex or human genitalia or anything to do with being proud of what you got. Apparently, it’s some sort of taboo brought on, no doubt, by there conservative “moral guardians”. It’s rather cute yet highly immature.

  4. Sharron Angle may have been right about “Second Amendment remedies.”

  5. Exactly how is anally fisting someone for a few hours going to protect anyone?

    • Well you could try and enjoy it? At least pretend to enjoy it and creep the strange man with his fist up your arse out.

“oooh you hit the spot! Is a reach around on offer too?”

    •  Easy, it protects the rich from the poor. At any time and for practically any reason, a poor person can be brutalised, tortured and sexually degraded for having the temerity to threaten the power or profits of the rich.
Uncle Tom Obama as a tool (appropriate word use) of corporations and a betrayer of progressive has run an administration that has ensured more progressive democrats lost the seats than at any other time. A blue dog at the very top of the democratic party at least he will be replaced by someone who everyone recognises as a vulture capitalist carpet bagger, somehow it more honest, than a laughing jackass CIA stooge.

       >If you want to see what’s wrong with Ivy League education, look at [Naomi Wolf]. This is a woman who graduated from Yale magna cum laude, is a Rhodes scholar, and she cannot write a coherent paragraph. This is a woman who cannot do historical analysis, and she is a Rhodes scholar? If you want to see the damage done to intelligent women today in the Ivy League, look at that book. It’s a scandal. Naomi Wolf is an intelligent woman. She has been ill-served by her education. But if you read Lacan, this is the result. Your brain turns to pudding. She has a case to make. She cannot make it. She’s full of paranoid fantasies about the world. Her education was completely removed from reality.

  6. Wow I’m no fan of the USA (not to be confused with the American people) but wow, how far the nation has fallen and how quickly too… Wasn’t it just over a decade ago the country boasted about its freedoms? The greatest nation in the world? Didn’t take long for the empire to start its great decline…. Now we can only sit back and watch as the mad dog lashes out at the rest of the world, starting with its own people.

    • Oh It’s been declining but it isn’t so far a fall in the first place, in many ways. America was sorta full of shit all along. Ask blacks, Indians, the working class (well not so much my fellow whites. They’re.. I don’t know. Thomas Frank, Joe Bageant are illuminating on this).
Didn’t like start just a decade ago to decline. BUT I see what you mean to be fair. The rot was well under way, now there is the undeniable in-your-face stench and outwardly displayed disfigurement of institutions, both governmental and cultural.
