U.S. Soldiers Pose With Bodies Of Suicide Bombers In Afghanistan

AirborneDavid Zucchino writes in the Los Angeles Times:

The paratroopers had their assignment: Check out reports that Afghan police had recovered the mangled remains of an insurgent suicide bomber. Try to get iris scans and fingerprints for identification.

The 82nd Airborne Division soldiers arrived at the police station in Afghanistan’s Zabol province in February 2010. They inspected the body parts. Then the mission turned macabre: The paratroopers posed for photos next to Afghan police, grinning while some held — and others squatted beside — the corpse’s severed legs.

A few months later, the same platoon was dispatched to investigate the remains of three insurgents who Afghan police said had accidentally blown themselves up. After obtaining a few fingerprints, they posed next to the remains, again grinning and mugging for photographs.

There must be a kind of gene in the average USA citizen in wich prevents it to learn from it’s own mistakes cause thing’s like this happened many times only to increase the violence in that region and the invading troops just keep doing it anyway. Americans are tired of these wars but when they are presented to new wars against other coutries they support it. I don’t get it!

Thank God some of us have the “correct apostrophe usage” gene, though.

I don’t believe in apostrophes or any god either.

Brother, have you considered joining the Apostrophic Faith of the Holy Punctuator? Belief is not required, but a copy of our holy text, William Strunk’s ‘The Elements of Style’ is.

No, thank you very much. Being an heretic takes much of my time. It’s like a hobby you know. Pissing off lots of people by doing nothing at all.

OK, we can all agree this is wrong and that soldiers shouldn’t do this
and we can even indulge in a certain amount of  moral indignation.

But the real criminals are Bush and the Bipartisan Military-Industrial-Bankster Complex.
All the atrocities carried out by their hired killers is on their heads.
And all of it just for heroin, oil and Monopoly money.
    Pretty friggin’ pathetic.
