A Memorial Day Ad Honoring Dead Meat

In today’s example of commercialism with incredibly dark undertones, spotted via MultiCultClassics, multinational restaurant chain Charley’s celebrated Memorial Day in the United States with an inadvertently morbid ad campaign depicting a soldier’s helmet being worn by a cadaver-shaped sandwich filled with ground-up meat:

heroes

A sandwich with ground up meat, you don’t say? Whoever would have thought a sandwich would contain such things.

Also, a sub sandwich is also known as a “hero.” But I’m sure the appropriateness of the correlation gave you a miss.

And yeah. Calling it “cadaver-shaped” is just plain silly.

Your post is bad and you should feel bad.

You obviously missed the point. Cows are used as human fodder just as soldiers are used as cannon fodder.

I am completely puzzled why so many people were offended by this. My bro, an Iraq vet. Found it hilarious.

I would eat a cadaver-shaped ground meat sandwich. But that is not what I see in that photo. What I see in that photo looks like any other substandard chain-store attempt at a cheesesteak.

  5. A sandwich is a sandwich, but an american soldier is a meal?

  6. /would like an Olive Loaf, Prosciutto, Red Onions, and Mustard on a hard roll, Disinfo.

This is one of the dumbest fucking things i’ve ever seen on this site and it really makes me sad its stooped so low as to post such garbage.

  9. The meat in the sandwich is made of dead soldier? Cause if it isn’t it’s a false propaganda!

So you are a sheep if you DON’T agree with every view you’re fed?

You can believe that soldiers are fighting a good cause or you can believe that they are being used as a profit margin. Majority of the soldiers believe they are fighting for a good cause. The Majority of Americans also believe they went into Iraq & Afghanistan for a good cause. They dont question the motives, the contradictions or even the hypocrisy, smells like sheep.
