Never heard of DMT before but I’d like to go for a ride. Is it illegal yet? Phhtttt….     I can see this as something that could be very addicting for myself.  The mores…………  YIKES

    • Monkey See Monkey Do

When you try it you’ll understand it can’t be addictive . As with all altered states of consciousness, the best way to find out about them is to explore them yourself.

      lol no

      • RYZINI

        Why comment then?

  • JoiquimCouteau

Didn’t watch it, those ‘shamans’ should know smoking it in a pipe doesn’t work. You need to vaporize

    • Person

If ya didn’t watch it how do you know they didn’t?  BTW, they did touch on that part of it.

      • Monkey See Monkey Do

They did use a vaporizer. Most likely from what I can tell it’s probably a ‘vapor genie’ model.

        • JoiquimCouteau

No, he used a glass bowl. Unless he tried again with a vaporgenie later in the video after trying with the pipe, which would be an even more foolish idea.

          • Monkey See Monkey Do

At one point he called it a vaporizer. Perhaps he was mistaken. Why do you thinking ‘smoking’ DMT is foolish?

          • JoiquimCouteau

Smoking is ineffective, trying again right after coming back is foolish. If he had gotten one good, full lungful of dense vapor and held it until it was gone he would not have felt that he needed to try again.

Also, the title of the video is characteristic of a particular (relatively low) dosage range. The music also definitely didn’t help.

          • Monkey See Monkey Do

The music definetley didn’t help. It should probably be done in silence (to hear the interesting audio-hallucinations) or low volume ambience. The guy sitting above him should have been sitting to the side to give him space. It should have been packed with a really high dose (Breakthrough dose). Smoked till the lungs cant fill any more in. Either as ‘changa’ in a water pipe or vaporized crystal.
            Ayahuasca is the next step.

DMT is found in human blood ,The source of it is undetermined. It’s only theorized it originates in the pineal gland.

‘DMT is released endogenously at the point in which the fetus determines gender, also at birth, death, dreams, visions, psychotic episodes.’ – Book of Enoch.

    • Monkey See Monkey Do

Smoking in a pipe works just fine. Its just healthier to vaporize, which they did.

    • Monkey See Monkey Do

At what point did they mention they were ‘shamans’?

      • JoiquimCouteau

        Right at the beginning.

        • Monkey See Monkey Do

They were called ‘shamans’ but they didn’t self-identify as such. I think if people in the industrial world knew what being a shaman entailed, there wouldn’t be many ‘shamans’. In short, it requires lots of suffering.

          Plenty of psychonauts around though.

          • http://twitter.com/mattstaggs Matt Staggs

For real. Not many people are down for the “wounded healer” aspect of Shamanism.

          • Calypso_1

I’ve known a few who took the wounds but failed to heal…or even to stay in this world.

          • Jin The Ninja

as you and matt alluded to- it’s very interesting to note, that most shamans experience chronic physical illness in their pre-shaman life and experience what would be classified as severe mental illness, at least one time before they enter into training. and the same is true for most catholic saints, prophets, and buddha himself in his later life. i suppose it’s difficult to keep one foot in this world and one in the next.

          • Calypso_1

I know from my own experience that severe pain can be a liminal gateway.  There is a point where the sensorium is broken and perception forced either to reorder, providing new forms of sight, or the psyche becomes twisted and the body shatters from the inability to process the extremes of input.

          • Calypso_1

I’d also like to note that the DSM-IV category for religious & spiritual crisis was intended by its authors to allow diagnosis of such things as shamanic crisis, vision experiences etc.  So if an individual with this world view were to engage in treatment with a knowledgeable practitioner then such events could be interpreted and processed in such a fashion….though probably not with any insurance reimbursement.  : (

          • Jin The Ninja

not much consolation but we, with public insurance, also must pay out of pocket for any kind of outpatient ongoing mental health treatment-holistic or otherwise. we do however, have several aboriginal healing centers that incorporate various healing methods, including sweetgrass ceremonies and healing circles.

    • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_4MX7O6AAVTCQYRSDADNBEA6PQM yahoo-4MX7O6AAVTCQYRSDADNBEA6PQM

um, you can vaporize it using a pipe. unless you’re a noob who can’t handle a lighter..

      • JoiquimCouteau

You can, you’ll just never know what you’re missing.

        • Calypso_1

Could say the same in relation to IV push. ; )

  • guest

    go to hell

  • hiddenplace

as usual, lots of speculation being presented as fact (pineal gland, fluoride in the water, DMT and dreams, etc)  interesting to watch though

if everyone in the world tried dmt, the world would be a better place. If you havent tried it, you dont have the necessary  experience base to refute.

    • http://www.facebook.com/cees.timmerman Cees Timmerman

I’ve never tried external sources, afaik, but every night humans create DMT in their brain to help them dream.

  • Talk Talk

For the love of god turn off the shitty music and let the guy experience it without the stereotypical idiotic stoner music. Has your enlightenment not brought you beyond Sublime?

    • Terry

Considering the look like they were froze in the 90’s, i doubt it.

    • LockedOutHere

If thats what they Vibe to let them do them. When I was a little kid I would get crazy excited when I heard the Ice Cream Man…Now I see them as just immoral sugar dealers…doesnt chamge how excited I got when I was a kid. If Someone “feels” Sir Mix Alot with their heart and soul are they experiencing anything more intense than someone listening to Sounds In The Key Of Life. Kinda of Ironic when this was all kind of about perception…maybe Sublime is their (insert whatever your vibe out music is)
      )

  • Ryzini

DMT should be treated with a lot more respect than these clowns are giving it . Adam strap on a set and spend a week in Peru at a ayahuasca retreat with some truly gifted people to aid you in your journey, not some guys that think a old couch and high school stoner tunes is the proper environment to have the veils of reality lifted. Environment and personal attitude are just as important as the drug itself.

terrible description. i’ve never done it, but anyone who describes any psychedelics as a “whirlwind of colors, tie dye bubble, etc.” is lying or completely devoid of complex thought. not to mention anyone advertising their personal use of dmt on youtube / twitter is a cunt. not watching this video.

    • http://www.facebook.com/cees.timmerman Cees Timmerman

I’ve you’ve never done it, how can you say that? The first truffles i took were stronger than expected and caused a rainbow fractal rollercoaster when i closed my eyes. I spent the next 3 hours on the couch (which i merged with for a second as i lay down) looking at the clock to wait for the effects to pass.

I know a lot about drugs.  Drugs are cool.

  • namelesswon

    assholes.

yet again western tshirted skanky sofa clowns turn a useful tool which needs a tried and tested ritual to help conciously and conscientiously to activate it and instead turn it into a a selfish 90s recreation sport.
    cunts.

    anyone interested in dmt should read this first;

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Archaic-Revival-Speculations-Psychedelic/dp/0062506137

as history shows us as with LSD, hippy assholes fuck shit up.

  • LockedOutHere

Your Vioce did sound different. Deeper. My opinion is you arent usually conscious of hearing yourself when you talk so you were more onservent of the vibration it made inwards…kinda of hollowing out is my guess and also when you are relaxed beyond your normal state your vocal cords will relax alowing for a deeper tone, You post bowl hit bioce is closer to your TRUE vioce.
